Recently, I had the opportunity to try out BBQ Chicken, a place in Vancouver, BC, specializing in fried chicken and their unique special sauce chicken. It was a decent experience overall, with a few highs and lows. I would rate it a solid 3 out of 5.

The standout aspects were certainly the good service and clean environment. The staff were friendly and efficient, making the take-out process seamless. The premises were tidy and inviting, suggesting good hygiene standards, which I greatly appreciate.

The menu is pretty straight-forward, and I opted for their signature dishes - the fried chicken and the special sauce chicken. Both dishes were decent, but not extraordinary. The fried chicken had a nice crunch, and the special sauce chicken had an interesting flavor that was pleasing, albeit not mind-blowing.

Now, onto the areas that need improvement. The main drawback was the size of the chicken pieces and the tendons left intact. The pieces were quite large, making them challenging to handle and consume, especially for a take-out scenario. The unremoved tendons also presented a significant hurdle, rendering the chicken tough and tricky to eat. It's an oversight that significantly impacted the overall dining experience.

As for the value, it was acceptable. Not a bargain, but not exorbitantly priced either, which sits fine given the overall quality of the food and service.

In conclusion, BBQ Chicken offers a decent dining experience with good service and clean premises. Their food is fair, although the large portions and unremoved tendons can deter from the overall enjoyment. If they could fine-tune these aspects, it could potentially elevate their game, making them a more appealing choice for fried chicken lovers in...

My husband and i have gone here a lot of times and have always had a good experience, until yesterday. Around 10 pm we came in for dinner. We ordered boneless honey garlic. When we got the chicken it was very bland, this is very unusual since the chicken has always been very flavorful. We asked the server if we could get more of the honey garlic sauce on the side after we explained that the chicken was bland and not very good. She dismissed what we were saying. She claimed that this is normal for this chicken. It definitely is not, as i already stated we’ve been here before and it’s usually much better than this. The server told us that we could pay for a different sauce on the side, which seems unreasonable to us.

After we finished eating we had a couple pieces of chicken left that we wanted to take home. When the same server brought us the to go box she dropped the box on the floor in front of us. Instead of getting a new box she quickly picked it up and before we could say anything she put the remaining chicken in the box. This seems very unsanitary to us and frankly just gross.

We were very disappointed with this visit as our concerns as customers seemed to...

We visited here since this place has mostly good reviews with their food and service but I guess it's not the day.

The guy with long curly hair needs to go although he seems like the owner.

This guy didn't say hello when he saw us entering. He didn't speak at all but just using hand gesture to sit us. The long hair guy was busy arranging the table and not attentive at all. We were the only guest there yet he never checked on us and we had to grab the drink menu for ourselves and took forever to get the bill. The only time he spoke was the spicy burger is very spicy that's the only time we heard his voice. He didn't even say a word when he brought food to the table. It was the worst service ever. The chicken burger was too greasy and tasted off. And the chair was too high and uncomfortable so you can't stay too long and faster table rotation. After all non- verbal, no service whatsoever this I still tipped him. I would never go back and do not recommend this place. If you crave chicken there are plenty other better tasting, more comfortable sitting places in downtown. Do not waste your time and...

Went here for late night happy hour and it’s a fun spot! Good for a casual date night or chill time with friends. I love how they play Kpop music videos in the background and the neon signs give off such a fun vibe. Got the rose dukk bokki and it was ok. The dukk bokki itself was great but would recommend getting it in the spicy sauce instead. The rose cause was just not my taste. The friend chicken wings were amazing tho!! If you love spicy, get the Wings of Fire flavour for sure. The soy garlic flavour was also a favourite and would totally recommend. Also had the mala spice but I just personally prefer the wings of fire instead because I just love the spice burn.

Been to this reliable and tasty quick service fast food korean fried chicken joint a few times, and the Cheeseling flavour is definitely a favourite! Sweet and cheesy and so good with the perfectly crispy chicken. Props for their togo packaging as well, the fried chicken is usually still crispy whether it's takeout or delivery, which isn't always the case with fried food. Would be 5 stars except that the last time we ordered the Cheese Buldak we paid to add rice cake, but only got a measly two half pieces in the entire dish, which was pretty disappointing. Will probably stick to the fried chicken in future, as that's definitely their specialty.
