This was so good. I went twice. After eating my body weight in noodles, wontons and carbohydrates, I needed protein, something light and healthy. If you want something more substantial they have rice, and other sides as well as drinks. The first time I went, I had two skewers of grilled squid (spicy) and a skewer of asparagus (spicy). The second time I had one skewer of grilled squid (spicy), baby corn (spicy) and pineapple. I hadn't eaten grilled pineapple in ages and it was perfect after the spice! So good. Order at the counter and pay. Just let the member of staff know if you want your food spicy or not! I loved it. Simple but tasty and fiery! I dined in both times. There are limited tightly packed tables (mainy communal high seat) but I easily managed to grab a seat. A place to eat and go, not to linger for too long! Reasonably clean. Staff were pleasant and friendly. They will give you one of those table number placard things to place on your table and someone will bring the order to you when ready. Food comes out pretty quickly. Good. Hits the spot. Cheap and cheerful. Located in the heart of LKF. It was busy when I went both times, but probably more so on a Friday or Saturday. They open till the early hours of the morning! Starting with the Pomelo Salad, this dish was a refreshing burst of citrusy goodness. The pomelo was juicy and sweet, perfectly balanced with a tangy dressing that added a delightful zing.
Next up was the Pineapple Rice served with a trio of skewers: pig, beef, and chicken. The pineapple rice was fragrant and slightly sweet, complementing the savory flavors of the skewers beautifully. Each skewer was grilled, with the pig being tender and juicy, the beef full of rich flavor, and the chicken wonderfully seasoned. This dish was a hit, combining tropical elements with hearty proteins.
To accompany the main courses, I had some Iced Logan. This refreshing drink was not only pleasing to the palate but also a perfect way to cleanse the palate between bites. The sweetness of the logan fruit was a lovely contrast to the more savory dishes.
The Grilled Short Ribs were another highlight of the meal. They were cooked with a smoky flavor that was enhanced by the grill marks. The meat was tender and fell off the bone, making it a truly indulgent choice.
Enjoyed the Baby Corn, which was a delightful side. The corn was charred, bringing out its natural sweetness and adding a great crunch...

They got lunch sets which are quite reasonably priced given it's in Central and doesn't charge for service. Tried their hainanese chicken rice set plus the assorted satay with pineapple fried rice set. The sets come with hot or cold drinks, and got zero-sugar options (bonus!). The portion was not bad, and like they got some cabbages and carrots underneath the meat. Hainanese chicken was smooth and tender, plus boneless. The skewers were marinated well, not too tough nor soggy nor too sweet. Satay sauce was not as thick as those in Singapore, but added flavor to the skewed meat, not bad over all.
We ordered 2 skewers on the side, less spicy version of chicken wings and Thai fishcakes. They were properly seasoned and less spicy version still a bit too hot for us, haha. But surely the spice added the exotic addictive touch.
The floor was a bit slippery, so do watch out. Otherwise, I got nothing to...
