grow ganja — Restaurant in Quindío

Stopped here for a coffee and a croissant the other day… TLDR; coffee and food good, staff member maybe had a little too much of the ‘ganja’ and thought he was working under 1933 fascist regime.

Flat white was very nice, artwork sufficient. Almond croissant was placed into an air fryer, chocolate melting. Archie Potts had somewhat transformed into Euripides quoting “leave no crumb unturned”.

You may be asking, with such fabulous coffee, and delectable snacks, how does this establishment warrant a 2 star rating? In a nutshell, you would genuinely mistakenly believe the gentlemen serving food was of French origin. His apathy coupled with his general see-you-next-tuesday-ish demeanour has led to a 3 point deduction from both service and atmosphere scoring categories from my personal experience and perspective.

In order for you to experience the customer service my cohabitant and I faced, I would strongly recommend that (irrespective of whether you speak Spanish or not) you attempt to engage with said Barista in English. It is quite a funny experience I would not want...

I came every day I was in Salento. It’s that good! Their campesino latte and maracuya juice were great. You can add CBD drops to any of the drinks plus they have almond milk which is a plus. So you know, this is a marijuana cafe shop. They offer tours throughout the day in English and Spanish. The owner was incredibly insightful. He walked me through the entire process from seed to basically anything. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions I had. You can tell he is passionate which is a plus! The tour felt like a one of a kind tour. After the tour, he gives you a little gift. 🫢🤓😀. If you’re in Salento, you NEED to come here....

I had an incredible experience here. The coffee was great, the staff was super friendly, and the atmosphere is a vibe. I did the in house tour and it was great and very informative. Giovanni is specially knowledgeable in his craft and passionate in what he does. I not only learned a lot but also left feeling great. Their other establishment, High Tacos is great as well. My favorite was prob the Chicken Tinga Taco. Don’t miss out on this experience is it’s something that interests you. Gracias...
