La Sazón De La Abuela — Restaurant in Quindío

Before we came in the restaurant we asked if by any chance they had a veggie menu. We asked because we understand this is no way near a veggie restaurant, but my girlfriend is vegetarian and we were looking a place for the whole group. La abuela told us very nicely that did have a special vegetarian menu, with beans, vegetables, rice, avocado, plantain and a fried egg. The veggie beans sounded appealing so we decided to have lunch here. When the food arrived, we noticed the Veggie menu didn't have beans, so we asked for it, only to be told that they ran out of beans and that's why didn't serve them. Our question is, why didn't they tell us as soon as they realized it, why did we have to go and ask, it felt shady. There is a reason why we asked before coming in, we understand if they don't have a veggie menu, but offering us something they don't have only to gain customers is...

It was a bad experience. Food was decent, I wish I could enjoy it without bad feelings left by a server. We have been served by a lady , who seemed to be a relative of the owner or something, she didn’t even wear an apron as other servers. Our table wasn’t cleaned from previous guests. She didn’t greet us or anything, the first thing she told us “diga me”. When we started asking questions about difference between dishes she started yelling at us as she was mad that we don’t already know what they were serving… At the menu that stated that all dishes goes with soup and salad, but they didn’t bring me a salad. When we asked for it, they told that abuela is too busy with other orders to make me a salad.. I am sorry, but that is a part of my order??

Other workers here seemed nice, but our impression was spoiled...

Delicious place to have your lunch. They have many option of all kinds with typical dishes of Salento and of Colombia.

Good flavor in all the dishes between trout, pork, chicken, beef and others with a nice quantity of rice and salad with a delicious soup of sancocho.

The place is nice and spacious with good air and the dishes come to your table really fast.
