Cool experience, secret bar & you press a button to get inside. You pick from these cards and get a drink made. On the front is a design & on the back is two words of what it would taste like. The waiter comes with a mask, gives you your drink either sprays perfume onto it, it’s in a foggy glass or sets the drink on fire on the top etc … The waiter will tell you if the drink is strong or not & how it roughly tastes before you settle for it incase you want to change it.
It’s a cool experience but to be fair I would not recommend. It’s a small spot, no crazy decor, no crazy cocktails. Not really worth the hype as seen on TikTok. I have been to a few of these speakeasy bars & I have definitely been to way better ones in London before.
£50 for 3 cocktails & olives with cheese. Pretty good price. Also you don’t pay for service charge but they will ask you at the end if you want to add it on.
However I did see 2 waiters try a drink before sending it upstairs🫢 I hope it was for a colleague…
Tips for the restaurant; try have like 5 themes customers can choose from (childlike, nature, a colour, Prague themed) & create like 2/3 cocktails from them for customers to try experiment with cocktails in different forms, so like sweets or as a ice cream or in a weird cup. Something which a cool twist which is inspired by the theme
I think this way you will focus more on creating a fun experience which will make customers want to come back. There is so many speakeasy bars around the world, take some inspiration...
Read moreAfter finding out about anonymous shrinks bar, my friend and I were really excited to try book a table. We looked online for a table on Tuesday or Wednesday but this was not available, so we phoned. During the call, the man who answered offered me a table for Wednesday, the word Wednesday was repeated back and forth several times as my friend and I were in shock we’d managed to get a table on one of the days we wanted, after giving my name to the person on the phone I was relieved to have made a booking. Me and my friend planned the rest of our Wednesday night, got dressed up, and walked down to the bar, once we waited in the queue we walked up to the man letting people in and said my name and the fact we had phoned on Monday. He said I must have phoned the wrong place because I wasn’t there, I proved this to be wrong by showing the number I called. He then asked for my name, and I obliged. To which he said ‘no you have a booking for Wednesday’ to which my friend and I replied ‘yes?’, he was insistent that our table was not today and was instead for Wednesday, which was today! I said well I booked for Wednesday and had confirmation for Wednesday on the phone, is there a way to squeeze us in. He said ‘I don’t care, it’s for tomorrow’ and turned us away, he was incredibly rude. Luckily my friend and I went into alcron bar who were incredible friendly and invited us in and gave us...
Read moreWe were interested in the Anonymous Shrink’s Office but it’s often booked way in advance. A friendly barman recommended coming back another day early, from 17:00 to 19:00. We did this and walked straight down with a few other people at opening time after pressing the magic red button! You then descend a spiral staircase to a small cellar with beautiful brick vaulted ceilings. The service was excellent and the whole experience was totally unique. Our friendly barman from day one was downstairs mixing cocktails. Don’t expect the barmen to wear the masks 100% of the time, it wouldn’t be ideal for them if they had to work in them permanently! That being said they will be more than happy to put them on should you ask politely for a photo. My fiancé isn’t a big drinker and didn’t like her second cocktail. We knew this was a risk going in and they actually offered to correct it with a different cocktail, but we refused and thanked them for the kind offer. A totally unique experience made special by the wonderful attentive staff. The barmaids upstairs were equally friendly and helpful and we ate upstairs after leaving the underground bar. The burgers are excellent and the beef fries lovely! I should also say that they were very patient with me making my first forays into Czech as a 53 year old Englishman that had been learning it for a week, everyone was full of...
