Art Restaurant Mánes — Restaurant in Prague

We want to say thank you to Art Restaurant Manés, and especially for the man in the picture, that unfortunately we don't remember his name, but we certainly remember how he made us feel ! It was an amazing night of New Year's Eve in Prague, our first time there. All the restaurants were fully booked, but they saved our night and reserved a table for us. Everything was brilliant, from the food to the wine. They also allowed us to bring our own bottle of champagne, which was really nice. The environment was so charming with a live piano musician who played a beautiful playlist of songs, making everything so special. In the end, despite of the weather (a bit rainy) and having the terrace closed during winter, the manager opened it so we could have an outstanding view of the fireworks just for us 🥰 it was an unforgettable night, reason why, despite 6 months have passed, we come here to express our gratitude to all of you that made it possible. Thank you once again. You made our experience in Prague a million times better. We can't wait to come back. Definitely recommend, and we will certainly be there every time we visit this...

I dined in Manes with friends from England this weekend just gone (September 26th 2025) . . . it wasn't my first visit, but it was for my friends who came to Prague for a birthday celebration. I visited the restaurant ahead of time to check if we could have the side room to ourselves. On this occasion we were succesful

Food was seasonal, hearty and very tasty Potato Soup Pork Cheeks cooked in black beer and served with mashed potatoes Apple Pie with walnut icecream

The service was attentive but not fussy . . just pitched right And the atmosphere was intimate and special in that we had the room to ourselves

I can't fault it . . except to mention in passing that the tank Svijany beer they used to serve has been replaced by InBev stable very ordinary beers you can buy pretty much anywhere in Prague.

Oh and I din't pay the bill . . the birthday boys wife did (thanks Anna) but I saw the prices on the menu and they weren't outrageous.

GOOD: Nice quiet location, tasty beer, excellent Wellington, fine cakes, experienced&talkative service, nice evening view over river.... To consider: but you are in a smaller restaurant, so: beer service was little slow (I had my glass empty for 5 minutes then they find out and start to make new one, but took away also my colleagues glass where was some beer still... so they do not have enough glasses?) Seems that they do not have many Tomahawks in stock (based on their questioning), so if you are a group of many and want more tomahawks let them know in advance. BAD: Steak tartare is served with strange piece of ciabatta - we don't liked such combination. Salt&Pepper low quality and I need to ask for it. No extra sauces available to your steak and herb butter was pure liquid (I love cold butter/hot meat taste) 4.6* are...
