Bar No. 7 - Prague — Restaurant in Prague

As a regular to this "dive" bar, I must leave a review to warn other visitors about this place, in which I was drugged up several times and threatened by the staff too. This is a bar, in which your freedom of speech is limited to the extent that, if you voice pro-Palestine remarks, you WILL be kicked out for a reason or another. This is the kind of place that looks like a nice bar, up to the point you will realise that what you can talk about is limited. Furthermore, it can be dangerous and risky, for one's personal safety, to raise such issues in this bar. Oh my God! We came here by sheer coincidence, looking for a "good enough" place and found this gem. The first impression is of a normal "hospoda". But after a couple of drinks (the bartender makes a mean gin-tonic) we realised that this place is like no other. The bartender is an absolute chap, extremely friendly with good singing voice (you will hear him sing) and most of all, he talks to everyone. 90 percent of the customers are expats. Shady new bartenders with shady new practices. I used to come here regularly a year ago, and things were great. Last night, the bartender charged the table for a bottle of wine when we were served just a glass. Moreover, they were very reluctant to give us a copy of the bill or show us what we were paying for before we tapped the card. If not for the fact that the bill was being split, and we needed at least a picture, we wouldn’t have found out. It’s a shame this place has started to degrade itself because it was a great bar.
