The overall experience at the establishment was largely positive, characterized by excellent and responsive service, and the courteous demeanor of the waitstaff. However, an incident occurred that regrettably marred an otherwise enjoyable visit. Upon proceeding to the restroom facilities, my party and I were unexpectedly halted by a bald security guard who, after a momentary silence, instructed us to return to the dance floor in a rather assertive manner.
Perplexed by this directive, I continued towards the restroom, only to be halted again by the security guard who admonished me aggressively, insisting I return to the dance floor. I explained that I was in the midst of enjoying a meal and drinks while seated outside, to which he reluctantly acquiesced, accompanied by a derogatory remark, referring to me as "very stupid."
Such unwarranted and disrespectful behavior from a member of the security staff is disconcerting, particularly in contrast to the otherwise commendable aspects of the establishment. It is regrettable that individuals entrusted with ensuring the safety of patrons may lack the cognitive capacity to consider the context of a customer's actions for more than a brief moment. Consequently, if this is indicative of the treatment patrons can expect, it undermines the overall positive experience and warrants a rating of no more...
Read moreSituated in the heart of Prague, along Karlova street, the Beer Restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience. The interior is cozy, spacious, and impeccably clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you step inside.
The menu boasts an extensive selection of delicious dishes, with standout favorites like the slow-cooked pork ribs and flavorful soups. During our visit, we couldn't help but notice the high praise from neighboring diners enjoying the goulash.
However, what truly sets this establishment apart is the exceptional service provided by the friendly staff. Our dining experience was elevated by the presence of Christina, whose positive attitude and charm radiated throughout the restaurant, making every guest feel welcome and valued.
In addition to the mouthwatering food and excellent service, the Beer Restaurant offers a wide range of beverages to complement your meal. Furthermore, they graciously accommodate larger groups, making it an ideal choice for gatherings of 10-12 people or more.
Overall, our experience at the Beer Restaurant was truly remarkable. From the delicious food to the friendly atmosphere and impeccable service, it's a dining destination that I would highly recommend to anyone...
Read moreWe had a delightful time at U Zlatého Hada! Initially, we sat inside, enjoying the cozy and historic ambiance, and later moved outside to soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Prague’s Old Town. The location is simply perfect—just steps away from Charles Bridge.
We ordered the beef tartare, onion soup, and the roasted pork knuckle. Everything was delicious! The pork knuckle was quite rich, with some fatty parts we couldn’t finish, but the leaner pieces were absolutely mouthwatering. Portions were generous, and the flavors truly reflected traditional Czech cuisine.
The service was friendly and attentive. Our waitress spoke German, which made communication much easier for us. It’s evident that the staff takes pride in providing a welcoming experience for all guests.
If we find ourselves in Prague again, we’ll definitely return to U Zlatého Hada. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Czech food and a great selection of beers in a...
