Buddha-Bar Prague — Restaurant in Prague

I took my wife and kids to this place on our third night in Prague because my wife loves Asian cuisine, and the children do too. Well, we were quite surprised when we arrived. Our first impression wasn’t great — the table that had just been seated before us were having an argument with a member of staff, and we ended up waiting quite a long time before we were shown to our table.

With the waiter’s broken English, we finally got the menus and began to look over the food. The first awkward moment came when the waiter returned just three minutes later to ask if we had decided, and when we asked for more time, he disappeared for quiet long time.

I thought things might improve after we placed our order and began to enjoy ourselves, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. At some point, another waiter appeared — he didn’t introduce himself, but he was very loud and seemed quite drunk. It felt more like we were in a pub having a beer with him rather than dining out.

From then on, the experience felt uncomfortable and awkward. I was genuinely upset having someone who appeared intoxicated, possibly even under the influence of something stronger, around my children. It was a very unpleasant experience.

The final straw came when it was time to pay, and the waiter had the audacity to ask for a tip for his service.

An Unforgettable 60th Birthday Celebration

From the moment I chose Buddha Bar for my husband's 60th birthday dinner, Adam and his team went above and beyond to ensure the evening was a huge success. Adam immediately offered thoughtful suggestions to make the night special, even asking if we preferred a secluded table or one in the heart of the action to enjoy the atmosphere. The table was beautifully decorated for the occasion, and from the moment we arrived, Alexander and his team were incredibly attentive.

I had made some special requests before the evening, including a unique birthday surprise for my husband. Adam even went out of his way to purchase a red apple for the dessert, complete with a sparkler fountain—everything was executed flawlessly. They also captured photos of us without being asked, adding a personal touch to the evening. Afterwards, we headed to the cocktail bar where Nazar kindly crafted Simon’s favourite White Russian cocktail.

The food was outstanding—the sushi and blackened cod were some of the best we've ever had. If you're visiting Prague, dining at Buddha Bar is a must. The service is exceptional, and the team genuinely goes out of their way to make your experience unforgettable.
