Barista with full arm tattoos was extremely rude and almost seemed like he was high on something, I asked him how long a hand brew would take because I needed to leave in about 10 minutes and he started laughing really weirdly to himself while bobbing around and avoiding eye contact in a really uncomfortable and socially awkward way, I guess essentially finding such a simple and earnest question too preposterous to fathom and basically said I was dumb by doing a confused hand gesture and saying “are you good? What? Just think please. get the brew”. Keep in mind I was the only customer in the store at the time so the time frame is not at all unreasonable. He had 2 of his “friends” loitering at the counter who weren’t ordering but were chatting with him and slumped over on the counter (who also looked high and had sunglasses on). He was ad-libbing to them as they were also laughing at me, literally felt like they were trying to bully me which is crazy as a paying customer who asked a simple question and was very cordial. One of the strangest interactions I’ve had in my entire life, highly do not recommend this place unless they handle...
Read moreGrounds L4 is a must-visit for coffee lovers who appreciate high-quality, sustainable brews. Their coffee is sourced from Rusty Nails, a Czech roastery known for their light roasts, which allows for the unique flavors of the beans to truly shine through.
I had the pleasure of trying their hand-pulled double espresso and it was perfect. The baristas really know what they're doing, and it's evident that they take pride in their craft.
In addition to their delicious coffee, the cafe itself is a treat to visit. The modern minimalist design is accented with beautiful flowers inside, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The seating is cosy and tucked away in an inner block, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy your coffee.
Overall, I highly recommend Grounds L4 for anyone looking for an exceptional coffee experience. With their focus on sustainability and quality, you can feel good about supporting a business that truly cares about the environment and...
Read moreA very nice cafe located only a few steps from Charles Bridge. This is a place you really need to look out for because there is no signage pointing towards the cafe. Being hidden in a courtyard, it actually feels like a little oasis away from the crowds of tourists flooding Charles Bridge.
The barista is very talented and does his work very professionally. The coffee itself, of which the beans are roasted locally in Prague, has a very nice flavor to it, although being on the more acidic side. Little pastries are also available.
This is definitely a very nice place if you want to get a good coffee away from all tourists. I can imagine that this place is especially nice in the summer months because of the enclosed courtyard making the area...
