Good food. One of the worst services ever! Upon entering the restaurant (which was almost empty), asking for the table at the corner, the waitress said no very rude, it’s a table for 3 people. We were seated at a table for 2 next to the table at the corner. 5 minutes later 2 people were seated at exactly that table at the corner. The food ordering was quick and we got our drinks swiftly. Moctails were great. Burger and Gulasch was good. After finishing our main courses we weren’t asked if we would like a desert. So we picked up the menu behind us ourself, soon after that one of the waiters came and said if we would like to order something we would need to do so fast, because the kitchen will close in 5 minutes. I said I’m not sure what to get. He didn’t recommend anything, instead two minutes later after I closed the menu, he came back, said you want something now, kitchen will close soon? Just pressure, no kindness, not the slightest will to sell you anything. We said no. Paid and left. Give your staff training. You shouldn’t treat your customers like this. And a little upselling of recommendations isn’t that hard, especially if the customer obviously...

As vegans we were highly disappointed by the food quality and taste, as well as the service itself. The gluten-free beer tasted off. We ordered the vegan version of the Paella and the Goulash with dumplings. At least we thought we get that...but instead of a Paella (that many people recommended in their reviews) we got a rice-mushroom-tofu mix with a plain taste. Not even the seasoning was in any way reminding of a Paella. For the Goulash that we ordered because we wanted the original Czech dumplings we got it served with plain potatoes instead, since the staff didn't inform us that the dumplings aren't vegan. Directly when the food was served we complaint, but neither the kitchen took it back and let us choose an alternative, not die they compensate us on the final receipt. It was such a disappointment. However, there is a great vegan restaurant on the other side of the river just beneath the city's castle where we found fantastic fresh and delicious vegan food. But Maitrea? Thanks...

I was absolutely starving by the time we found Matirea (it was a national holiday so everything was closed/the open breweries not offering vegan options) so I was about 10 minutes away from eating my own arm, but, still, the food here was great! And thank you for being open on a holiday...

The deco inside is really cool, eastern/Buddhism vibes, with Sanskrit (I think?) on the walls and cosy lighting.

The loos are downstairs and on the way I saw they have more seating and nice decorations but it was closed on this particular day.

Seitan roast was tasty, even my omni boyfriend ate some. It wasn't what I was expecting—as you can see from the pic it's more like shredded seitan or gyros/döner style than a big chunk or slices like a normal roast. But, it tasted good.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the menu but from what I remember, it was a bit more expensive than the other vegan and non-vegan places we tried...
