MOON Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Prague

We chose this place because it was across the street from our hotel and we were tired and hungry from walking all day in the rain. What an awesome surprise to have fantastic, legit Chinese food when we least expected it! Seating and service were lightning fast with great communication. We ordered vegetarian egg rolls, steamed pork dumplings, pork hot pot with glass noodles, Kung pao chicken, and spicy chicken, plus an alarming number of canned Chinese ice teas that we loved from the US.

It was all 10/10 food. Would totally order everything again and if it was in the US, this would be our new favorite Chinese spot. That’s how tasty.

What added to the experience was the table w two guys having a great time and talking super loud in Korean right next to us. The place seems like a trusted source for Chinese tourists and ex-pats which adds to the legitimacy of the food.

I’ve been a Hotelier, Publican and Restauranteur for over 30 years. I come to Prague 3-4 times a year as I love it. The Moon as we call it is round the corner from our local watering hole where we spend a lot of time it’s called Sports Bar Praha absolutely fantastic. We go to the moon most days as the food is fantastic but service ??? Let’s not go there .... yesterday made to wait for a table with 3 already free and the as for the staff they haven’t changed in 4 years, still miserable and unwelcoming as previous visitors have put in their reviews. Unfortunately I don’t speak mandarin otherwise I’d explain hospitality to them. The reason we go is for the food and the hilarity of their customer service , it’s that poor it is comedy gold. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this gem for its delicious food, wallet-friendly prices, and welcoming atmosphere. Visiting this restaurant twice was a testament to its irresistible charm and delicious offerings. Our taste buds were treated to a delightful array of flavors, from the crispy chicken to the tantalizing tofu dishes paired with fresh vegetables/ and bamboo and mushrooms. The handmade fried dumplings were an absolute standout, undoubtedly the best I've ever savored. Sipping on the refreshing raspberry lemonade and fragrant jasmine tea only enhanced the dining experience. Opting for two main dishes with steamed rice left us feeling completely satisfied each time.
