El Mojito Café — Restaurant in Prague

English-speakers steer clear. Worst bar experience ever; ruined our entire night. We came in for a couple of beers, and were given a big plate of nachos we didn't order. We ordered 2 beers and a natural water (both "natural" water and "soda" water were listed on the menu). We were served 2 beers, natural water...and nachos? Either something was lost in translation, or they were trying to extort tourists. We sent them back and the angry, old bar owner came over and screamed in my partner's face, insisting we ordered them, trying to intimidate us into purchasing them...then skulked around the bar cussing and making us as uncomfortable as possible. The music was awful (songs like Jay Z's "Big Pimpin") and they were showing a program with graphic scenes of animal death on the television that went on and on and on. The bathroom was a nightmare. Screaming bar owner, dying animals, Big Pimpin', and bad bathrooms...what an ordeal. Even if you intend on buying the nachos, don't...they were Doritos dumped in a bowl with a couple of dips to legitimate them as authentic. Also the bartender was smoking behind the bar and probably gets ashes all over anything you order. This place seemed perfect for "Kitchen Nightmares" or...

I didnt like that the owner of this place has on the wall of this bar some posters of Che Guevara, the biggest k. of innocent people in Cuba and Latinoamerica, this has to be forbidden as it is forbidden to have H. posters, it is a big dissapointment, people dont know history and make false propaganda to! Shame on him! The owner, an Italian old man was very hungry for money, we just opened the door and he was almost yelling to us that this bar is not for looking but for drinking, i think he has to go home and leave this place, he is giving to this place such a bad atmosphere that he spoiled my night, horrible, I am glad i could read here the opinion of other people and now I feel better that it was not my imagination and he is really treating rude the customers, I was lucky I left the local immediately and didnt seat there, very bad from this owner, it seems to be that he is...

The pizza and drinks were OK. The staff and the overall service was THE WORST OF THE WORST. I have never been treated so poorly in a restaurant.

Firstly, they are so cheap that when I ordered a pizza for me and my girlfriend they didn’t want to give us extra plates besides the one from the pizza, and we basically ate over the table with no plates.

Secondly, we wanted to pay the food and drinks separately, but the waitress did a whole scene and started shouting to us by our request. She was so rude that she started implying that we were a weird couple.

According to previous reviews this is not the only similar case. Don’t even waste your time going there. You can find much cheaper and better...
