A Hidden Gem in Prague – You Must Visit OSOLENO!

If you’re in Prague and looking for an unforgettable dining experience, look no further than OSOLENO. We stumbled upon this place by chance while searching for somewhere to eat — and what an incredible discovery it turned out to be.

At first, we weren’t entirely sure whether to go in, but the menu caught our eye — especially since our son is a big fan of duck. From the moment we stepped inside, we knew we had made the right choice. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was exceptional. Our server was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive — he truly elevated our entire experience.

We started with a glass of beer and a glass of wine — easily the best wine we had in Prague. Then came the food: • Creamy spinach soup • ½ roast duck • Duck fillets • Cottage cheese pancakes with duck fillets • Duck breast with celery truffle

Every single dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The duck was cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and rich — especially the duck breast with celery truffle, which was truly a standout.

For dessert, we indulged in the chocolate fondue — delightfully rich and absolutely delicious.

From the first sip to the last bite, OSOLENO delivered a dining experience that could rival any Michelin-starred establishment. It’s elegant yet unpretentious, and the attention to detail is second to none.

I’m writing this review in English so that travelers from different countries can understand it more easily. My English may not be perfect, but I really wanted to share how great this place was.

The staff were incredibly friendly and polite. They spoke in very simple English, which made communication easy and comfortable.

When I couldn’t decide what to order, they kindly took the time to recommend some dishes — and their suggestions were spot on!

Considering travel destination prices, the food here is very, very reasonably priced. The taste and quality are on par with what you’d expect from a good hotel restaurant, and the plating was also beautiful.

If you visit, make sure to try the dessert after your meal. The chocolate bread served with ice cream was absolutely amazing.

The staff mentioned that the restaurant opened not long ago. I truly hope it becomes well-loved by many people, and that when I come back ten years from now, I can still enjoy the same wonderful dishes in the same place.

Heard about Osoleno from another couple on a tour. Had a terrific dinner and this is easily the best value restaurant we have been to over 4 weeks travelling through 4 countries in Europe. It was also equal for best meal ( duck fillet). The service from the young man was excellent, the food from his mother first class. Had the duck gizzard consommé, duck fillet and the duck burger. Whilst duck is centre of the restaurant there are meat, veg and fish options. I’m sure anything coming out of the kitchen...
