I recently visited Lemon Leaf, hoping to relive the positive dining experiences I had there a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, my recent visit left me deeply disappointed and with no desire to return.
Upon arriving, I ordered a drink, which was served to me filled with ice. As I sipped through it, I noticed that even after finishing the drink, the glass was still mostly full of ice, leaving me feeling cheated out of the actual beverage. This was a clear indication of poor attention to detail and a lack of consideration for the customer's experience.
Moving on to the food, I decided to try their appetizer with mango, but it turned out to be an absolute disaster. The taste was far from what I had expected, as it was bland and lacked any distinct flavour. It seemed like the quality of ingredients had taken a nosedive, and the dish was simply unpleasant to eat.
Overall, the decline in the quality of both the drinks and the food was evident, leaving me questioning what had happened to the once promising restaurant. I must emphasize that I can not recommend this place to anyone anymore. It's a shame to witness how a previously enjoyable establishment has lost its touch and failed to maintain its standards.
I hope that management takes note of these issues and makes the necessary improvements to regain the trust of their customers. Until then, I'll be looking for other dining options that value their patrons'...
Read moreWhat a disappointing experience. The hostel I was staying at had highly recommended me to go. When having a look at the menu there was only 1 vegetarian option per dish style. I asked if they could serve me the Pad Kee Mao without chicken in which the said no? Is it not made fresh? Why is this an issue? What if I wanted the Pad Thai but I'm allergic to peanuts?
As I asked for the bill I forgot to hand my waitress my 10% voucher and gave it her colleague instead. My waitress comes back and says his the bill with -10%. I have a look at the bill in which is says 294. She then replies while entering the amount 294 and the 10%. I then go to pay and see a total amount of 323. I ask her why the bill is 323 and where is the reduced amount on the bill as it doesn't show the original price. She then replies with you said 10% in which I said yes 10% off not added. She then says you said 10% service fee (TIP). I had never even mentioned a 10% to her nor did I have any intention as I was extremely disappointed not only in the service but food quality. My curry was warm and you couldn't even choose your sauce as they only did a veg yellow curry.
I then ask for my tip back in which she shrugs away and yell no i'm being serious. Quite disappointing to come to the review section as well to see a lot of other people getting short changed here by the staff very...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant for an Asian-style dinner and found the experience to be somewhat mixed.
The Pad Thai was a particular disappointment—it lacked the balance and depth expected of this signature dish. The use of roasted peanuts noticeably altered the traditional flavor profile, and the absence of fresh lime further diminished its authenticity. We’ve enjoyed far better versions of Pad Thai elsewhere in Prague.
The “Thai salad” was especially misleading. Rather than a vibrant Thai-style mix of herbs, vegetables, and zesty dressing, it was simply a bowl of standard lettuce, cucumber, and tomato, topped with defrosted shrimp and a generic vinaigrette. There was nothing Thai about it.
On a more positive note, the green curry was excellent—rich, aromatic, and well-balanced, showcasing a solid understanding of Thai flavor layering.
The fried shrimp in almonds were well-prepared, crispy, and satisfying, though not particularly memorable.
As for the homemade lemonades, they were refreshing but lacked depth and intensity in flavor.
In summary, while the restaurant shows promise—particularly with its curry—it falls short on authenticity and detail in several key dishes, especially those...
