Holec Apartments — Hotel in Prague

We just spent three nights here. Location is good. Upon arrival, we noticed that the WiFi, washing machine and hairdryer in the bathroom weren’t working. My husband contacted the owner letting them know of the issues. The WiFi was subsequently fixed however the hairdryer and washing machine remained untouched. We didn’t hear back from the owner even though they advised that they would have someone look at the issue. This was very disappointing.

Upon my husband further investigating the electrical issue, he discovered that there was faulty electrical work which caused the safety switch to short circuit. This is why no electrical points in the bathroom and some points in the lounge area didn’t work.

The fridge was extremely dirty and I loathed putting anything in there. So too was the couch. Overall, the place could have done with a good clean. The pillows on the bed weren’t standard bed pillows, instead they were small 30cm square tiny cushion throws and were so uncomfortable.

The shower leaked water so every time you had a shower, the bathroom floor was covered in water. They had watered down soap in the soap dispenser in the hand basin as well as the shower. The hot water system was so loud that it kept me awake at night; I could still hear it when the bedroom door was shut.

I wouldn’t stay here again as there were many issues with the property, most importantly safety concerns due to faulty...

We visited Prague back in May, 2019. I was promised a day to be refunded, I have yet to receive a credit. We had an ordeal when we stayed. The hot water heater broke and flooded the apt. This was at 10pm by the way. Thankfully, the owner put us in another apt. However, the apt he told us to go to was occupied. The owner had no idea who was occupying the room, so he sent us to another room instead. This room was very nice and I was grateful my family didn't have to move to another hotel at midnight. Two days later, we were told we had to move back downstairs (to the original room) I refused, as the sofa bed had been flooded and so were the ceiling lights. The Mgr agreed to have us go to another apt. We agreed based on the agreement to refund us a night Due to the inconvenience of the flood and moving several times. Room was very lovely and clean, amazing location didn't have to Uber anywhere apart from to the airport. Only downside is the massive curtain railing broke and almost hit my friend in the head, owner came and fixed it the same day but assumed we broke it. Communication with owner was good apart from the fact he didn't tell us the cost of the taxi before hand and it turned out we could've got an Uber for cheaper. Also key locks were quite old and the key kept getting stuck in the lock. Would still recommend as the design and location of the apartment were definerly...
