Me and my friends were looking for a restaurant to eat at around 9.30 pm when all restaurants were closing their kitchens and we found this place which had their kitchen open for another hour and so we decided to eat here. The place looked like a tavern and had a very old look to it. The server was very polite and noted down our orders. So we ordered as follows... Beef goulash - This dish was inside a big bread sliced at the top and the beef gravy inside it and closed on the top like a lid on a pot. The dish was topped with onions, was rich and really tasty. Nobody served goulash like this before for me.
Beef serloin with cream sauce, Karlovy vary dumplings, cranberries and whipped cream - This dish was very unique and nobody would expect what it will taste like but it blew my mind on how well it all went and tasted together, like a symphony in my mouth... Really good
Roast duck leg with red sauerkraut and potato dumplings - This duck leg just fell apart ... I didnt even need a knife for it ... It was that well cooked and the dumplings were so good with it and the sauerkraut was just perfect with the duck. The sauce and the juices from the duck just mixed well and tasted so good ... I would definitely come and have this dish again.
Overall this restaurant is insanely good to have a hearty meal at and my compliments to the Kitchen that prepared...
Read moreDuring our visit to Prague, we stumbled upon Blatnice Restaurant, and it turned out to be a delightful find. So much so, that we ended up dining here almost every day of our trip.
The food at Blatnice is nothing short of amazing. We indulged in a variety of dishes, each bursting with flavor and prepared with evident care and expertise. From traditional Czech specialties to international cuisine, every meal left us craving for more.
Beyond the delectable food, the staff at Blatnice deserve special commendation. They were incredibly helpful, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Their warmth and hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meals.
One aspect that pleasantly surprised us was the pricing. Despite being located in a tourist-heavy area, Blatnice Restaurant offers reasonable prices that are far from the usual tourist traps. This made our dining experiences even more enjoyable, knowing that we were getting exceptional food and service at fair prices.
Overall, Blatnice Restaurant exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Whether you're a visitor to Prague or a local looking for a culinary delight, Blatnice is a must-visit destination. We can't wait to return and savor more of their...
Read moreA really disapointing experience. Me and my boyfriend arrived about 6.30 pm and were served our beer soon, which was delicicous. But right after we had ordered, a big tourist group arrived and from now on the crew was running around stressed, not taking note of us at all. While the group was getting served, we sat there waiting. Nobody took care of us at all. After nearly an hour, suddenly our dishes Hit the table. I had ordered some "czech speziaclity", as the menu said, a Sauerbraten with bread dumplings. The sauce was terrible. It tasted strangely sweet and had nothing to do with the meat being served in it. I guess it was some canned sweet/sour sauce. It was terrible. The dumplings tasted like white bread. My grandma is defenetely doing this better, and she isn't even czech. After this dauting experience, nobody came to our table to ask us, how our meals had been. I don't know if they didn't care about their guests, or if they knew it tasted it tasted this bad. Another point to mind is that whatever you order, per person a 17kc coutage is put on the bill, the waiter said ut was for the bread. We didn't order that and it and the waiter had just beat it on our table and disappeared immediatally afterwards. We did not touch it at all. So one star...
