Arrived having booked specifically asking for a table for two that was not by the door only to find that the only table available was by the door. Which was constantly being opened by new customers , and food delivery /customers pick ups etc….. they offered to move customers who they had just seated (which we did not feel was fair). We decided to take away instead and they were kind enough to give us a 20% discount for the inconvenience which was great. However whilst waiting we noticed that they were using the same cooking and cutting implements for Vegiatrian and non vegetarian pizzas. As my wife is a non fish eating vegetarian this was a shock and another disappointment for her. We did not raise this with the waiter/waitress as we had not stipulated that my wife was a vegetarian when we placed our order. On the way back home I was explaining this to my wife when she rightly challenged me that if she had a nut of shellfish allergy then this type of cross contamination could lead to far more serious outcomes.
So thank you to the Dej for compensating us for the inconvenience, however my advice to anyone who is thinking of booking is to stipulate any allergies or food preferences (vegetarianism etc….), up front to avoid cross contamination.
Btw….. by the time we got back to the flat (5 mins away), both pizzas were warm and had to be re- heated...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a gluten free pizza then head to Gorms instead. Here they charge 30 kr extra to give you a supermarket base and the ingredients I had seemed pretty sub par and store bought not freshly prepared. The interior is jarring, a strange combination of decor that doesn’t seem appropriate for a pizza place, like a joe and the juice designer was paid in (bad) pizza to whip it together in an afternoon. The music was far too loud, I asked for it be turned down and the waitress very kindly did, until a few more guests arrived and it was turned right back up again. This may seem like a matter of preference and I admit that the pop music playing wasn’t my preferred choice of dinner music but I also wonder if the separate dining and kitchen area (where the iPad/volume is located) means that they just can’t hear how loud it is in the restaurant. I was refused tap water which always irks me as I don’t drink bottled water, ordered a juice and was bought a different one that I didn’t order, which was drinkable but not very big. My girlfriend ordered a margarita and it was almost cold when it arrived, though the service was quick. Overall I wouldn’t recommend it. Perhaps a take away (non gluten free) pizza...
Read moreBooked a table for two the same evening which was easy enough. Walked into the restaurant and was seated by one of the members of staff. Seemed like a nice place and the pizzas looked good. There were some drinks menus on the table but no food menu to be seen. We then noticed some QR codes on some of the other tables which we scanned and voilà there's the food menu, would have been great if someone had informed us about this. This was probably about 10 minutes after sitting down.
We browsed the menus and decided on what to order. Then we waited and waited. It seemed like other tables had been waiting for a while as well. After about 25-30 mins or so another couple were seated next to us. After about another 10 mins or so their order was taken by a member of staff but we didn't even get a glance. So after waiting for over 40 minutes without our existence barely being acknowledged we decided to leave.
A simple explanation that they were a bit busy or at least acknowledging that we hadn't been served yet would have...
