I went to Discoteca Asian Fusion restaurant with my husband this weekend. I had been eyeing this place for a while because I noticed they had a nice early bird offer, but since there weren’t that many reviews, I assumed it might be a new spot. I was a bit sceptical at first, but we wanted to try something new that evening and decided to go for it.
We chose the early bird menu, which included 6 courses for 190 kroner—a really fair deal. And to our surprise, the food was genuinely good. Every dish tasted great, and it was clear that a lot of thought and care had gone into how the flavours worked together. It felt like six actual courses, each crafted individually, rather than just a platter of random bites called “a course.”
We also had a beer and a cocktail to go with the meal. The atmosphere in the part of the restaurant where we were seated was actually quite cosy. They had decorated the ceiling with cute umbrellas and blue lighting behind them, which created a nice vibe. However, the other side of the restaurant wasn’t quite as nice. It felt a bit bare in comparison, and I think they could improve the ambience there with better lighting or decor to match the rest.
Overall, a surprisingly great experience, and I would definitely recommend...

This place barely had any reviews on Google maps and had zero pictures. Often places with few reviews only have biased reviews from friends and family.
My wife found it on the "early bird" app, and we decided give it a shot anyways.
We had the "tasting menu", and all six dishes were excellent!
Fusion restaurants are often a bit hit or miss playing it too safe, but Discoteca has taken the best from Japan and Vietnam avoiding clichés. We started with prawns, which were crispy on the outside and fresh on the inside, and the mayo was great. Then we had crispy cauliflower, juice meatballs and crispy rice-paper spring rolls, that were so good! The spicy cucumber salat was a fresh tasty side to the bao. The bao avoided the usual lazy crispy chicken, but instead has a flavourful meat in a sweet soy sauce.
Overall a pleasent surprise! Even the pineapple drink was great. A big recommendation...
Read moreThis place served some of the best Asian food I've had in Copenhagen. The restaurant's interior design is simple and beautiful, and you get a good feeling when walking through the big open doors. The tables are a little too close together and way too small for all the servings and drinks (and that little stupid table light all restaurants apparently need to have on every single table) - but we managed. The staff was nice and did a great job, and the food was really really good - not to mention the cocktails! We had the 6 serving set course, however, as a dessert lover like me, I would have preferred there was a dessert in the menu and not something you had to order after. But I am definitely...
