Scalini in Cannes, it's not Scalini! Don't go there! Today 30.07.2023…. 22:00 - 30 minutes ago we got up from the table and left the restaurant. First the menu with the wine list by the glass: 3 whites, 3 reds and 3 types of rosé, all of which were low end! Untypical of Scalini around the world, but….did order 2 glasses of some Chablis though. Then we ordered salads, two pastas and one pizza. And this is where the problem started…. After they brought us the salads, 50 minutes later neither pasta or pizza. Meanwhile, several tables sat down around us. Almost everyone was ordering salads and pizzas and it was getting late and we still hadn't received our order. After I made a remark to the waiter and despite everything it had no effect, we got up from the table, madly indignant and asked to speak to the manager of the restaurant, who was not in it at all..!!!! In the evening in the hotel restaurant, obviously there is a problem, he is called on the phone to come….. And after he came and I was outraged, I tried to tell him that this is not Scalini and since I am a Bonvoi Member, I will write reviews everywhere , so people know and don't go there so they don't get disappointed too, he acts like a …. I don't know... as a waiter.. He was some young man, obviously without any experience and after this huge scandal that took place, we politely paid the manager the two glasses of Chablis that we didn't drink and two salads without a word of apology or anything and that's it off we go! This manager should be sent to the hotel as a piccolo. Don't go there! This is not the...
Read moreA beautiful and stylish restaurant right in the centre of Cannes, just a short walk from the beach. The setting feels effortlessly chic, and the staff were professional, friendly, and on point throughout the evening.
I started with the burrata, which arrived quickly and was honestly one of the creamiest and most flavourful I’ve had—it really set the tone for the meal. For the main, I went with the seafood pasta. It was tasty and generously portioned, though a bit heavy on the oil, which didn’t sit too well with me afterwards.
We also ordered a 2023 white wine from Sicily to go with the meal. It had a lovely fruity aroma and a smooth finish—very easy to enjoy. That said, it was the most affordable wine on the menu and still priced at €55, which gives you an idea of the overall cost.
If you're looking to treat yourself to a slightly more upscale dining experience while in Cannes, this place is definitely worth a visit. Just keep in mind that it's on the pricier side—probably not the best pick if you're after a low-key, budget-friendly dinner. But for a special night out, it’s a...
Read moreWe decided on a very late dinner in Scalini just as they were about to close. Instead of turning us away, the team kindly stayed open longer just to welcome us in something you don’t see often these days!

The food? Absolutely delicious fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully plated. Every bite was a reminder that Scalini isn’t just a place to eat, it’s a place to enjoy an experience.
