I had a very positive experience here and am genuinely surprised to see this place has such low ratings! I usually look at reviews before I choose a restaurant but happened to pass by with my boyfriend and decided to just sit down. So glad we didn’t see the score until after because we thought it was great! We each had cider and shared a ham and cheese gallette and it was wonderful! The gallette had very generous fillings and high quality ingredients. The atmosphere was great (could hear a performer in the square playing lovely guitar from our seats) and the server Justine was so friendly and patient. The only potential challenge is that it’s cash only (but it says this on the menu and we saw it before we ordered) so this wasn’t a problem for us because we had enough cash on us to cover it.

Sitting there people watching, cooling off listening to a gentleman playing violin as people walk towards the wall of love. We sipped on Aperols. Eventually another strolling musician came but and started playing. I got the hot dog… it was so so good. My wife thought I was crazy until she tried it. I ended up ordering her one! Only thing that caught me off guard was cash only. I didn’t have enough and tried 2 different ATMs. They were kind enough to walk over to a neighboring restaurant and do a credit card transaction for me and get cash from the drawer. My waiter was super kind and attentive easily making eye contact if I needed anything.

the sole crêpe was okay; it wasn’t mind blowing: just a proper crêpe; the restaurant itself is situated in a nice neighborhood and thus it was a pleasure to cherish some time in the Place des Abbesses. unfortunately there was no payment terminal and therefore we were obliged to pay by cash; i suppose you can find better places than « Au Petit Montmartre » in Montmartre

FOR ENGLISH SPEAKERS: avoid this place at all cost, the waitress is extremely rude, despicable and disrespectful. We left even before ordering. If you want details, use a translator for the rest of the text, it worth a reading.

The reviews speak for themselves. However, my family and I hadn’t really planned to come here. We just arrived around 7 pm and saw they had availability. First; they said they closed at 8. Then, they said in Spanish, after they heard us speak, that they had no food and then that they would only serve alcohol (even though the menu includes an assortment of coffee and other beverages). We just wanted a coffee and a crepe after a big meal in the neighborhood.

The point is not that: it’s the rudeness of the 2 waiters that made us feel unwelcome. If this place does not welcome tourists, or if they just want people to consume alcohol after a certain time, it’s of course their prerogative. They should just put a sign to say that or say it in advance, and save us a bad time. It was certainly a change, after an amazing day of wonderful Parisian hospitality in other...
