Do you like "niche" restaurants❓ You may not know what I'm talking about... and I'm not sure that's the right term. 😅 By niche restaurants, I mean restaurants that focus on 1 specific and unique ingredient. For instance, an oyster bar 🦪 or a fried chicken 🍗 restaurant. I'm not talking about something like a ramen 🍜 spot, where you can order vegan, beef or chicken ramen. I'm talking about these places where, if you don't like the main ingredient, there's nothing you can eat. I don't know if I like that concept in general. But in Paris 🗼, I found a place called Canard Street, focused on... duck 🦆, of course. And I love duck. So I loved the concept in this case. 👏 We basically tried everything on the menu and we loved everything: a burger 🍔, a tartare, ribs (❗) and breast (all of duck, of course 😁). We had a slight issue with the breast that was overcooked but we complained and got a new one perfectly cooked. 👌 With all the dishes, we got fries 🍟 and salad 🥬, good also. 👍 The place is cool, completely open on the street so you're basically never inside. The service was great. Our servers were attentive, laid-back, nice and didn't hesitate to bring us the new breast when we showed them that the one we got was not cooked as we ordered. 🙏 For the food (only the food, no drinks, no desserts), we paid €20+ each, which I found fair cause 1) duck is pretty expensive 2) we ate too much. 👍 As a bonus, if one of the guests doesn't like duck, they offer a couple of other options, which isn't always the case in niche restaurants. 👏 I loved it and we had a great experience. I hope they keep up with the good work. 💪 . . . Quality & taste: 9/10 Quantities: 9/10 Atmosphere: 9/10 Originality: 9/10 Ratio price / quality: 10/10 Service: 10/10 How I felt...
Read moreNot a big fan of this place. I’ve had excellent duck breast in France and was expecting similar quality, but I was let down. Arrived around 5:45 on a Wednesday, I was told that even though they’re open that they won’t serve food until 6 (only drinks in the meantime). I waited, it wasn’t long after 6 until my meal arrived. The duck was supposed to be the star of the meal, but instead it was the sauce that came on the side. As you can see, some pieces are more well-done than other. I don’t feel the duck I received was fresh, probably just a left over piece from the lunch service earlier in the day. The skin of the duck wasn’t flavorful nor crunchy, the taste was bland and the French fries were greasy at the bottom of the bowl. The salad was okay, has some bitter leaves in there that throw off the taste. I won’t be returning or recommending this place. The price isn’t bad- I paid 25 for this dish and a glass of white wine.
The first server that I had who took my order wasn’t really friendly, didn’t seem happy to be working. The second...

Absolutely horrible experience at Canard Street. The quality of the food was disgusting, the service was beyond terrible, and the manager (Paul) was completely useless.
Here’s what happened: I asked the waitress (who did not speak English at all) specific questions about the burger — she just kept nodding “yes” without understanding a word. What I got wasn’t even a burger — it was literally a plain bun with some sauce. I immediately explained the issue and politely asked for it to be replaced. She ignored me completely.
Then I asked for the manager He didn’t even bother to come over. They refused to replace the dish and just walked away. The rest of the food was also inedible — greasy, low-quality, thrown together like slop for animals.
This place is a total disgrace. ZERO customer care, disgusting food, and a staff that clearly doesn’t care. Avoid...
