Le Rive Gauche — Restaurant in Strasbourg

The worst experience in the whole France, the most impressed is the temper of the waiter. Me and some friends wanted to drink something after a long walk, I saw a lots of table out there and thought that we could sit and order a café like being anywhere in France, and the waiter came to us told that the coffee is attached with the meal and we decided to leave. The waiter educated me to find café somewhere else with his finger pointing at me and with a great temper. (Les cafés sont partout mais pas ici, allez ! Ne cherche pas de café ici ! )However, I even felt discrimination there although we spoke fluently French, we didn't be treated respected. I don't even really care about the food or the drinks. Strasbourg is certainly a international city, I don't think that a not well-educated attitude belongs...

Visited on 15th March for dinner. The waiter was unpleasant and the food horrendous. I asked for the steak to be done medium-well but got meat charred on the outside but still stone cold red raw and frozen on the inside. The fries were tasteless too. Shameful attitude from the staff (waiter & chef) except for a pleasant bartender. If they don't like to serve someone they should decline to provide a table rather than bill a guest after dumping him with horrendous food and bad attitude. This place is a disgrace. There are far too many bad reviews about this place but doesn't seem bother anyone like a manager or owner. The place deserves to be shut down or revamped with new staff except for the pleasant bartender -an Asian...

It was almost full-house outside but we could find a table. The waiter came and served us immediately upon sitting down. I was busy connecting with their free Wi-Fi. The alert waiter sensing that I needed help with some network selection, offered his kind assistance to help me key in the info without me asking. Helpful service level that is not seen in many French restaurant.
