Boulangerie Pâtisserie Durrenberger Strasbourg — Restaurant in Strasbourg

My experience at this establishment was deeply unpleasant and frankly unacceptable. To begin with, the coffee I ordered was clearly underfilled — nearly half the portion was missing, as if it had been deliberately poured down the drain. When I asked for sugar and stir sticks, they were thrown onto the counter where customers usually place money — not exactly a hygienic surface.

What made things even worse was the staff’s appalling attitude toward foreigners. I had to repeat simple requests multiple times in English before anyone paid attention to me. When I asked about the filling of a pastry I was about to buy, the cashier rolled her eyes and snapped back with an irritated “Whaaaat??” — as if I were being unreasonable for simply asking a question.

For management: unfortunately, I didn’t catch the names of the employees, but I can describe them — both were white-skinned women. One was older and of a heavier build; the other was younger, also plus-sized. Both were exceptionally rude and unprofessional.

Baguette not worth the "best baguette" signs, it lacked salt and had too much of a white flour taste, no depth of taste (maybe you should change your sourdough or let longer timings for fermentation ?). But perfect shape and bubbles. Maybe 4/5 for the baguettes

To whom it may concern — our experience with this boulangerie: We were greeted by very nice staff members, I felt so welcome as a German. The quality of the baked goods was delightfully exquisite. I can recommend the croissant noissette, the croissant et beurre, frankly even every bretzel as well as the variety of eclairs. It is definitly an obelisk of the French bakery-culture.
