« bonjour »
Immerse yourself in the charming ambiance of La Grappa, nestled in the heart of Strasbourg, where every visit promises an evening to remember.
From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted with the utmost warmth by Giuseppe, curly-haired Italian waiter, setting the stage for an enchanting culinary journey.
As we settled in, we found ourselves captivated by the culinary creations of a head Italian chef whose name remained a mystery, yet whose skill in crafting Italian delights was undeniable.
Each dish was a work of art, blending traditional pasta with the refined sauces of French cuisine in a way that left us utterly enchanted.
Our taste buds danced with delight as we indulged in the seafood linguine, lovingly cooked with white wine, garlic, and fresh herbs, a true testament to the chef's dedication to perfection.
Meanwhile, the tortelloni alla zingara, brimming with Chorizo, mushrooms, and olives, whisked us away on a flavorful journey inspired by the rustic charm of the Campania region. It was an ideal choice for a dinner for two. Our evening reached new heights of indulgence.
Accompanied by a delightful Vernaccia wine from the sun-kissed vineyards of Tuscany, adorned with the prestigious DOCG seal, our evening was elevated to new heights of culinary bliss. And let's not forget the succulent filet boeuf, served to perfection with aged balsamic vinegar, Italian arugula, and parmesan, a true symphony of flavors that lingered on our palates long after the last bite.
As we savored each moment, we discovered the importance of choosing the perfect table to fully immerse ourselves in the intimate ambiance of the restaurant, away from the hustle and bustle of the central dining area.
Leaving with my hearts and bellies full, I couldn't resist taking home a taste of La Grappa with us, savoring the leftover tomato pasta as a delicious reminder of our culinary adventure. Our time at La Grappa wasn't just about the food; it was about forging connections and creating memories.
So, Dear Reader « gastronomie partenaire », let our gastronomic journey inspire you to embark on your own culinary escapades. With love and anticipation, we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to share more tales from this enchanting region.
Until then,...

Our ranking of the following main courses were:
Herb filled ravioli with truffles and mushrooms in a white cream sauce (saisonal card) 10/10 Gemilli alla Mediterranea (baby vegetables, tomato sauce, garlic, olives, capers, fresh herbs) 10/10 Pizza Parma with burrata (buffalo mozzarella) 10/10 Pizza with beef carpaccio, arugula & parmesan 10/10 Linguini al Napolitane ((tomato, basil, garlic) 10/10 Pizza Neapolitana 10/10 Mediterranean Pizza (grilled vegetables, arugula, pitted olives, mozzarella) 9/10 Linguini al Pesto (homemade pesto, pine nuts, garlic) 7/10
(caveat: but only because the pesto was too strong, if you can imagine. Shouldn't be an negative criteria, but it was just very dominant, overshadowing the fresh pasta)
The dolci/desserts were good, but not on the same excellent level as the main courses. Really can't stress enough how good they were!
Despite that fact it was a 10/10 in total, 5 stars. Shame we'll be leaving the city soon, otherwise we'd be back here for sure!
Guiseppe was an excellent host and waiter who catered to all our wishes with the most Italian smile you could imagine. And all of that in three languages: Italian,...
Read moreWent to this restaurant for a date with my husband and was pleasantly surprised with the nice service we received. The server was really kind and the food came quickly - we really appreciated that.
The starters were great - I had a seafood salad and my husband had a bruschetta which we shared. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. For mains, my husband had a grilled Dorade which he really liked even though it was a bit expensive, but my pizza left something to be desired. Also on my husband’s scale of extensively researched tiramisu’s this was a 6/10.
We might return in winter and check out their meat selection.
It’s cozy but not...
