Pirosmani's Dukani — Restaurant in Tbilisi

Today we went there with the family while on holiday. My cousin is leaving earlier, so it was a special evening for him and we wanted to get some food before his flight.

Pros: central location traditional interior khinkali is not bad

Cons:

don’t understand orders. We ordered a megruli chatchapuri (Georgian pizza), they didn’t bring it even after 1 hour. we ordered chicken, they brought us a completely wrong dish

long waiting time. We ordered bread and only after 20min they brought it, not fresh and it was cold

extremely loud live music. They sing nicely, but it’s so loud that you can’t hear the person in front of you. We had to change the table

most importantly, the rudest staff I’ve seen in my life. We notified the waiter about the long waiting time of the bread, the missing chatchapuri and chicken. My cousin had to leave for his flight, so we had no time to wait anymore. Instead of apologizing, he said “What do you want? This is not a restaurant it’s a bistro” and continued to argue with my father in a very disrespectful way

management came, still charged us for the wrong chicken and didn’t apologize either

I don’t recommend this place, it’s better to go somewhere else with...

We went here for lunch as it was near our hotel. The food was nice however, we did not feel that the staff paid enough attention to us and we always had to keep a lookout for when they rushed past so that we can talk to them. This is at such a time when it was relatively less busy with few other tables occupied. There is a charge of 15% put on the bill and being tourists we did not know it was not mandatory. To add to it, zero smiles the entire time we were there. It seems only we were making the effort to be polite and friendly when it should have been the other way around. Half of the food was tasty, half was very average. Owner was very nice but one of the ladies that served us was super rude and unfriendly. She threw food on the table with no explanation what is what. When we asked for the bill she behaved the same, just threw in our faces, not gonna mention about smiling which was none. We asked for ice, it was delivered after we finished everything. Some of the food took very long to deliver and one dish didn’t come at all but was on the bill. After explanations she asked “you want it or not”. I don’t recommended but I’d you decided to eat there just ask for khinkali. Nice atmosphere...
