A review especially for wheelchair users and anyone else needing to not use stairs. Well, best of luck to you because this place listed itself on google as "accessible", and well it isn't. Did they make an effort sort of, yes. Because they knew I had just wheeled through the ruins of athens to get there because the taxi driver didn't want to drop me off anywhere near it.

It's not accessible. There are no "invalid lifts", there are no ramps, they have the old fashioned slopes that you stick one wheel in and the other wheel in, and pray to god you don't die, but there is no way anyone independent can go up this alone, because they have so many stair cases, and have to use the same two cheaply made slope slots for each time and each moment you need them. And that's after they make a big song and dance about having to go find them in a closet somewhere....seriously!

You'd think, oh hopefully it will be "worth it", because maybe like me, you enjoy visiting this franchise all over the world, but like many of them these days, Hard Rock Cafe for some odd reason purposefully places their restaurant in "old towns" and "inaccessible" areas because it seems more "trendy and cool".

Perhaps if the overly priced food was good enough to drown out and gloss over the fact that you just aren't accessible, maybe I wouldn't be bothering to write this at all, but I feel obligated to, since I wouldn't want anyone else turning up there thinking they are going to have a super duper hard rock cafe experience in a wheelchair, when they just won't, because Hard Rock Cafe can't be bothered to rebuild the interior of their restaurants purposely put in super duper old buildings, and then use the excuse, "Oh we aren't allowed", yeh well, then

1. don't keep saying you accept "everyone", when clearly ya don't.
2. Don't keep opening up in old listed buildings because you think you will make more money.

You are going to lose people who have supported you for years purely based on the notion you might be the one capitalistic entity who sort of cared about "disabled" people. But I have been to so many of these places now, and they are all the same, and it has become quite obvious the only thing they care about is making money! And I guess like every other place in the world, there is that backward bigoted thinking that people who have mobility issues don't have any?????? Well--your loss!

Give it a miss, and go to the Hilton, where it is nothing like what you want, but at least they have a way in!
