Elsa's Cafe Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

Well, the experience was awful and the worst we had over 2 week trip in Crete.

So firstly, we order, but apparently they forgot to enter the order into the machine. So we have waited for an order for almost a hour. Shit happens, no problem there. After giving the waiters bad glances, they finally decided to approach and understood that they had made a mistake. After that, they apologize, brought us some more wine for the wait, but because it was so long and they did not write the order down, they have screwd up the order. Brought us the wrong pasta and wrong salad. This was devastating, after waiting for an hour and a half, we still not gotten the food we ordered. I am not one to complain, but the whole situation was very awkward and unpleasant...

We had a fantastic dinner at Elsa’s Café and Restaurant in Chania! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The food was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor — everything we tried was clearly made with care and quality ingredients. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the great service and generous portions.

To top it all off, they offered us complimentary fruit, ice cream, and a glass of raki at the end of the meal — such a thoughtful and traditional touch that made the evening even more special. Highly recommended if you're in Chania and looking for a place with great food and genuine...

We stayed in the area for almost a week and while there are many places to eat in the area this was our favorite. We ate here several times and every meal was better than the last. The family that have it were always friendly and helpful with us if we had questions about the menu or things to do in the area. This place cemented the friendliness of the Cretan people in our hearts. The view from their tables of the bell tower and people watching made this a great place to hang out and eat truly...
