The restaurant has a very poor location, with no view of the sea and situated on a busy, crowded street. The food quality is terrible. I ordered the fried mixed seafood dish, and it was a disappointment. The shrimp were not properly cleaned or deveined, and were served with the shells still intact. This made the dish unappetizing and difficult to eat, as you have to peel the shrimp yourself. The waiter even told me to clean the shrimp myself, which is unacceptable for a fried dish. The overall quality of the food seems very low, and I suspect the seafood is frozen rather than fresh. The cooking and preparation was sloppy and lacking in attention to detail. Additionally, the staff were observed smoking inside the restaurant, which created an unpleasant odor throughout. I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. The combination of poor food quality, unpleasant atmosphere, and unprofessional service makes it an establishment to avoid. There are surely better dining options in the area that would provide a more enjoyable and satisfying experience.

I had lunch here, on a Thursday afternoon. I started with Snails, which I found quite bland. In the past I'd had them cooked in garlic which added more flavour. This isn't a criticism, this may well be how they are traditionally preferred in Crete. I then had lamb chops which were delicious. Cooked well enough to render the fat crispy but still very juicy and tender meat. I had a cold bottle of Mythos to wash it all down. After I'd finished, I was served a couple of slices of melon, which was a nice gesture. My waiter wasn't the most cheerful chap, and on an island famed for it's welcoming hospitality, it really stood out. I sat outside so I could see the harbour and the cruise ships docking, the idyll was somewhat ruined by the noise of the passing traffic with music blaring from car stereos - not something the restaurant has any control over I know but it was a shame.

For us this is just the best restaurant on Kreta. It's always buzzing with guests and due to this high turnover everything is fresh. The fish is just a dream, we recommend the Calamares, and first dishes feel just home made at the minute. Menu shows which fish is local and which is imported. There is a free desert, deep fried dough balls with vanilla ice cream, Greek speciality, it's a dream. The service is quick and professional, might appear harsh in first moment, but really heartily and considerable for the guest. Location is excellent, right at the harbor, but avoid coming with the car, parking lots are scarce. We love this place, highly recommend!

The food at "A Little Wein A Little Sea" in Heraklion offers a delightful mix of Mediterranean and Cretan specialties. The menu is characterized by fresh seafood, local vegetables, and traditional Greek ingredients like olive oil and herbs. Popular dishes include grilled fish, shrimp, and mussels, all skillfully prepared and often accompanied by fresh salads and flavorful sauces. Meat lovers will also enjoy succulent lamb and chicken dishes. The meals are light and full of flavors, perfectly paired with a selection of local wines. The restaurant provides a relaxed atmosphere with a view of the sea, enhancing the overall dining experience.

For me the restaurant is more like a fast food place. The waiters are quick and rather carelessly put the food and other things somewhere on the table where there is space. That was okay. It was a little too dry for me. The potatoes were great. There is no water on the house here which I know from other restaurants in Crete. The bread that is individually wrapped and placed on the table without you having ordered it also had to be paid at 50 vt per piece at the end. I didn't like that. The free dessert consisted of raki, grapes, melon and Lokumades with ice cream. The lokumades with ice cream was delicious. Prices are okay.
