True hidden gem in that not so hidden and expensive gem called Oia. This place deserves 5/5 just for its existence. Not relying on advertisements, it's delivering what it's supposed to - great bread and bakery products for more than reasonable prices. Especially people traveling on low budget will appreciate this place. My dinner expenses at this bakery were 2 Eur compared to 30 Eur that I spend on my lunch in restaurant before. I like offer of ice cream cones that were most likely home made. Also baklava looked tasty. Perfect options for those that like sweets. I went for salty cheese filled bread and it matched my expectations. There are also some common grocery store products at the shop so you can buy water, more sweets, or some Santorini souvenirs...
Read moreWe were walking along beautiful Nikolau Nomikou (the main drag through Oia). Feeling a bit hungry we spotted this place. It's a bit to the east of all the action and the streets were almost empty on this beautiful sunny day. But there were customers in this bakery....mostly locals. A good sign.
We got some sodas and two country spinach pies (spankopita). The pies were savory, fresh and crispy. A fantastic snack and exactly what we looked for, since we didn't wanna waste time in a restaurant, because there's so much to see...
