I will tell you a short story about me traveling with my imagination to the Rainforest of Brazil.
I was invited to the soft opening to a place called A La Gringa, you can feel how special this place is from its name, it's located in the downtown of Budapest near the fashion street, the place is magical, from the door you can feel like you are entered a different country or dimension, you can call it whatever you want, the decorations and the spirit of the place was so wonderful and fitt together, i liked the cosy sitting and the vibes of the lights.
The staff were amazing they are so nice and smiling all the time (Special greating to the shef).
Some says you can learn the other cultures through there food and drinks which was a totally different story in my little experience, best of the best, for me starting from the Mango juice which i never tasted something great like it in Hungary, it was amazing and so refreshing, not forgetting the strawberry water which were mixed together in an amazing way, the snacks (unfortunately i dont know the name of it because its Brazilian) but starting from the shrimp's snack with the cheese to the beef snacks and other snacks were magical, the sweets (coconut ball) was amazing and so tasty.
That night i felt like i spent a night in Brazil and partly i learned the culture through there foods and the place.
This is a place that deserves to open in the downtown city of Budapest.
End to my little short story i would like to thanks the owners for the invitation and wish...
Read moreExcellent. I had to run my eyes when walking by this place and it said Brazilian food — I simply could not believe it, and judging by how good the food is .. even nicer to confirm it’s real: the Prato Feito was just as I’ve had it in Brazil, the sausage tasty and big fat; the sides a joy to relinquish in. We also tried a small portion of the chicken with vegetables, and it was equally a delight. Rounding that off with some cheese bread always makes for a great combo. FWIW, they also have some proper Caipirinha — that one’s reserved for my next visit, I had to opt for the hot chocolate this time (and it was as good as it looks like). And, one final word on the service — outstanding, we’ve never been treated so nice and attentive in another place in this city. It goes to say this place is special, more so that it has a real 🇧🇷 vibe with 🇧🇷 people behind the bar and...
Read moreI went to the soft opening event and fall in love with this place.. It is definitely my number one favourite in Budapest.. The place is very well decorated and every corner was a piece of art.. It is also very cosy and comfortable.. They served a variety of Brazilian snacks and drinks and each one is very delicious and full of flavour.. You should definitely try the mango juice, strawberry flavoured water, the beef snack, cheese balls and the shrimp snack.. Not sure about the Brazilian name of each snack but you can ask the staff and they will tell you :) I also tried the coconut cake and it was super perfect.. A La Gringa is also located in a very good place and next to the fashion street.. So everyone should give it a try if you are a citizen or a tourist.. Big applause to the Brazilian chef and to the...
