Quick note about myself... 20+ years in the restaurant business in America. Last 3 years at one of the best restaurants in New Orleans. Also, at one time, managed the #1 Mexican restaurant in New Jersey. Not to mention, I grew up 20 minutes north of the Mexican border in Southern California. So, needless to say? I take Mexican food VERY seriously. Hell, I have a Dia de La Muerte tattoo and if you cut me, I bleed molé sauce.... 🤠
So.....SOMBREROS... Once I realized no one working there spoke Spanish (which made me chuckle), I proceeded.... AMBIENCE: Absolutely fantastic. Clean, well-designed and flawlessly decorated both inside and out. SERVICE: Top notch. Both employees were professional, courteous and friendly. Obviously, they had great training. FOOD: Quality of the ingredients 10/10. Portion size 11/10. Taste & Flavors 12/10. Overall.... MUY, MUY FANTASTICO!!
In the last year, a great number of Mexican restaurants have opened here in Budapest. Some good. Some mediocre. Some terrible.
SOMBREROS.... Is absolutely amazing.
VIVA MEXICO!...

Read moreI ordered several times from Sombreros on Wolt.
There was one time where they sent me a bowl with japaleno while I specifically stated I want it NOT spicy.
Okay, one mistake is normal, we are humans, though we did tell Wolt what happened.
The second time while marking NOT spicy, We also left a note separately for them to pay attention to this.
What do we get? A bowl full of jalapenos.
I'm not sure it's some power play like when people put meat in vegan food or pour dairy milk instead of plant-based milk if someone has allergies or just doesn't like it, but you eating spicy food doesn't make you a better person.
If you cannot accept that some people CANNOT deal with spicy food and can enjoy the food without the many many jalapenos, then maybe you shouldn't...
