Seven reasons one must NOT go to Seven Rivers
Rude at the entrance - especially if you have children. Make you walk all the way round and not allow adult with children from the direct entrance. When a reservation is made they come several times to check on you and ask where the rest of the guests are... We had a booking for 14 and only 5 of us came earlier than the reserved time. The others came in as and when. Considering the restaurant was empty, I fail to see the management's concern No air conditioning. We specifically asked if there would be turning on the a/c, to which we were told 'yes', otherwise we would have sat outdoors... However the a/c was turned on after 2.5 hours of being there and much grumbling. In the heat of the summer, it was quite unbearable. Courteous albeit inattentive service. We had to wave our hands up and down several times to catch someones attention. After asking what we wanted they disappeared... With the complete and total exception of Nayanika who saved the afternoon as best she could. If you intend to go for a meal please give yourself 1.5 hours for the food to come. Food: topsy turvy - no food with allergen warnings, even when requested, 1.5 hours later the food brought was wrong and rectified which took 30 minutes more. The 'tenderloin' was soooooooo far from 'tender' that you need to ensure you have a prefixed dentists appointment for after your meal. They claim to be children friendly. However, no provision was provided, even when asked several times, ie. 1 extra stool for a child to sit on. The fried prawn with chilli sauce ordered for the children, specifically mentioned, was chilli prawns with bland Mayo. It's a pretty ambiance and the beer tolerable. I wonder if this is enough! This was such a disappointing experience especially given that it is the 'Taj', which prides itself on hospitality and service. Such a let down!
My suggestion: stay at home and Zomato/Swiggy/Zepto your food ... Much quicker, easier and you get what you ask for rather than an in dining experience at...

7 Rivers Brewing company is all that you would like to go out and spoil yourself for a good dinner. Their beer is locally brewed and they have some amazing beers like the Guava Niepa with some locally grown and selected guava's. They have this Salted lime goose for which they have the traditional German style, taking inspiration from an Indian drink. This has an amazing tartness and the lime gives a refreshing tinge to a beer which is very good. Botanical Saison was another refreshing beer where you can taste the bubblegum notes and some citrusy flavor which was interesting to me. Their simple witbier was so good with a bit of orange and coriander which was really interesting. It is definitely a thirst quencher. Lastly their Chocolate coffee stout was an amazing combination with a dark chocolatey dessert.
Moving on from their amazing beers to their food, we were on a date being with your better half is always the best time to order a dinner date menu. We started off our dinner with Brewmaster basket which had a salted pretzel just like how it is made in Germany, soft mini buns and assorted breads with a crushed coriander and garlic marinated queen olives and a witbier to kickstart.
For the appetizer we had filled potato skin sour cream and cheddar cheese with loaded nachos which was crisp and so good. We loved our appetizers. For our main course we had a silken tofu, stir fried Asian greens, chili hoisin sauce noodles which was so good, one of our favorites on the menu with all those veggies it tasted lip-smacking good. For a good dessert we had Malai chops with a Bailey Rabdi, a tinge of alcohol in your dessert is enticing isn't it.
This was the perfect date night we had with some delicately chosen dishes to make your day a...
