myself my husband and two children tried to come for dinner today August 3rd inside there was a table with two adults a child with a buggy inside the restaurant there where many free tables two inside the door and many up into the restaurant we decided to come in for this reason not too busy In and out with the kids, a man approached us and asked if we had a reservation we explained no and he said well then there’s no table for you they’re all reserved I pointed that some tables had reservations signed displaying not all the tables he replied I can’t put signs on every table they’re reserved all reserved when I tried looking for another member of staff he came back to us and said they’re all reserved no table for you, we left but this didn’t sit right with me so I went back in and spoke to another member of staff I asked if all the tables are reserved should you not display reserved signs on every table he said yes we should so I then asked was there a free table and if kids are allowed in he explained yes kids are allowed in and yes there are tables but what his colleague meant was that they could not have our buggy inside the door (double buggy) so in turn we couldn’t eat there, we would have been happy to fold our buggy or leave it outside had we been asked or it have been giving that reason but to be refused on the basis that we have two kids and a buggy was very unfair, we have never tried eating here before and we will never try again after...

First off, The place tricks you with its name. It is called Gotham Cafe, but it is not in anyway Batman related or themed. I'm sure for copyright reasons they will also deny they are not Batman related but who are we kidding they are trying to trick people with the name. So if you are going in because you want a batman themed restaurant experience well it isn't that. All that aside just judging it as a restaurant. The food is terrible, like truly terrible. The price they charge for the unamazing, bland tasting dry food is ridiculous. When a waitress was bringing over glasses she put one under her arm not too far from her armpit. Despite all that we decided after our meal let's go just won't come here again as it was in no way a memorable experience. But wait how could this less than 1 star experience get worse. When I went to pay, with the other 2 in my party still sitting at the table The waitress with black hair rushed right up to me and demanding very bluntly that I sit down and wait to pay at table. When I tried explaining I was just going to pay she cut me off. When I tried to say could I just pay so, ((as the moment was embarrassing and I just wanted to pay and go)) She didn't let and went on a long tirade. Also this wasn't during the time of covied restrictions so they cant even blame covid for not letting me pay at counter. It was definitely the absolute rudest waitress I ever encountered. Teach your staff to...

Very friendly, pleasant and helpful staff! Incredible food that is very reasonably priced for such a central location and for the quality. We booked ahead in advance to sit outdoors (would recommend booking as this place is very popular). We were served by two members of staff, one man and one woman, who were both very friendly and welcoming. We ordered two salads which were incredibly tasty (we are not usually salad-eaters!). The vegetarian beetroot flatcakes dish was so tasty - one of the best vegetarian dishes I have eaten. We were very impressed. We got sweet potato fries which came with the salad (not usually our thing) but these were the best cooked sweet potato fries that we ever tried. It was clear that thought, effort and creativity went into creating these unique dishes. Every element of the dish complimented each other. Cocktails were good and very reasonably priced given this is a city centre restaurant. In particular, the Bailey's cappuccino was delicious. Staff were exceptional. Environment was spotless. We were not at all rushed or encouraged to leave even though we stayed a little beyond the close time. Overall an extremely pleasant experience. Would highly recommend Gotham Café to anyone. Thank you to all staff at Gotham for making our...

When Dublin hadn't very many good #pizzerias we used to come to the Gotham Cafe for family occasions. With the plethora of great Italian pizza restaurants in Dublin in we hadn't been here in many years. OMG I had forgotten how many of the pizzas I love! Obvs I could only have one on this trip so I went for Chinatown, a yummy mix of duck & hoisín sauce and spring onions, wonderful, I savoured every bite! We will definitely not leave it so long until our next visit! Great friendly staff and service and very close to Grafton Street.

Gotham Cafe has been around for as long as I can remember living in Dublin (30+ years) and you can see why. Great location, great restaurant, great menu choice, great prices and great staff. Food is really good and the choice on the menu is excellent with something for everyone. I had "the bowry" pizza which was so good and would love to try another pizza the next time I'm back. Very reasonably priced food for where its located and I can see why its been so popular for so many years. Definitely be back soon.
