Such a great place to take a break. Beautiful food, so tasty. We stopped for an evening meal so had a medium meat and cheese platter with a medium veggie platter( lacking veggies on hoilday). More than enough to fill you up. Such a delicious selection of cold meats and cheeses. Veggies too were moreish. We got into La Bottega because we have seen so many delicious cheeses in the store and so we went it. It was the best decision we have take in Como: it was an experience to taste and try so many different cheese and dry meat such as Salami and Mortadella. It was a nice experience to see the joy the couple has to serve clients, good advice and recommendations. We bought quite some cheese to take it home and we returned to the same place for lunch. This restaurant deserves more than just 5 stars.

The service is outstanding! When we asked for the wine Menu, the waitress took all possible white wines (6 pieces) from the fridge and let us taste them all to choose the wine. A free wine tasting, so to speak. We also had two different platters which were very tasty. The ambience is very lovingly furnished.

All in all, a really great, authentic restaurant. Be sure to take something with you afterwards, be it cheese, pesto or fig jam. It all...
