Caffetteria Piansa — Restaurant in Florence

The best coffee I had in Florence, pure and simple. I stayed round the corner and visited several times, I went three times in one day once, and bought coffee home too. In our vocabulary its an artisan coffee cafe that also roasts and supplies other coffee shops with their awesome and special blends. They do a sublime flat white, which costs twice as much as a cappuccino but is as good as any I've had anywhere in the world. They also do V60 filter drip, but at a rather off-putting price of 3 euros was avoided. It's probably worth it if they use the right floral blend with it, which I bet they do... maybe next visit I will try it...The food at lunchtime looked amazing incidentally, hot lunch plates of various kinds were wafting past me...I bought some bags of beans and ground coffee of the 7+1 blend and the 10+1 blend home. Both are highly recommended and they are the equal if not better to the best roasters in London...

Ho scoperto questa Caffetteria in via Gioberti l'anno scorso e ci sono tornato la settimana scorsa perché ero rimasto entusiasta del luogo! Conosco il caffè Piansa da vari anni e posso dire che è il migliore in assoluto fra quelli assaggiati negli anni passati. Ho poi scoperto che molti fra i bar più noti a Firenze e non solo ( per esempio a Forte dei marmi!) Firenze da Dolci e dolcezze in piazza Beccaria )usano questo tipo di caffè .La prima volta che ho assaggiato questo straordinario caffè è stata, dietro suggerimento di una cara amica, nella Caffetteria del Viale Europa, dove si poteva ammirare il macchinario in bella vista rendendo ancor più appetibile questa delizia. Poi evidentemente sulle ali del successo i proprietari hanno deciso di aprire una deliziosa Caffetteria dove è possibile,se trovate posto fare uno spuntino , anche questo squisito con pochi piatti preparati con cura e " particolari ". Per concludere vorrei aggiungere che è anche possibile scegliere vari tipi di caffè da portare via in delle bustine eleganti (bisogna stare attenti perché spesso il caffè e' in grani e bisognerebbe avere la macchina tritatutto...

Went here during my travels through Europe. I had the Red Bourbon from El Salvador. It was still very Italian, very dark roast, but it had a beautiful berry fruit flavour with a buttery mouth feel. I also had one of their house coffee and was dissappointed but I'm sure if you enjoy very dark roasts it will suffice.
