Bar Caffe' Maneschi — Restaurant in Rome

Every time we are in Rome .. we come here every morning . As our apartment is literally around the block . ( by the way best area to rent a place ) They now take CC , which was a big NO .. when we started coming here a while back . Still service , coffee , and food and freshly squeezed OJ . remains unreal !! Love the neighborhood feeling of the place , the way the waiters are dressed and treat you will have you saying .. damn this is exactly why I keep coming back to this place . Also .. is not expected .. but leave some tip...

This was one of my favourite places for breakfast when I was going to the Accademia di Belle Arti which is nearby. Great place for breakfast, excellent pastries, and prices are a slightly bit cheaper than in the area. The attendants are cheerful and nice, in particular the girl. They also have tramezzinos and some pasta dishes if you want to have lunch, not a lot of options but it is good too. But mainly the sweets and pastries...

I would say nice people but can't help but to believe we got food poisoning from their stuff. Myself, my wife and my son got severe abdominal symptoms literally 1 to 2 hours after. Had to take medication. We ate at many other places during our stay and this was the exception. That was our first meal of that day after 14 hrs no food since overnight and late breakfast.
