Comodo Mercato Trevi An amazing Beautiful discovery in Rome right by the Trevi Fountain. Classy, elegant and unique!! A place I would describe as a secret garden. Tranquility in the heart of a bustling touristic area. Only opened on 14th July 2022 and unknown to many. This place is a MUST!! A day sightseeing during the summer in Rome can be exhausting and with the humidity you'll be wishing for somewhere to cool down in comfort. As an MS Warrior, it is so important for me to keep cool as the heat is a prolific factor in aggrevating my symptoms. We found the perfect place by chance.... we just walked through an entrance and walked right into a paradise of tranquility,  elegance and class. Comodo is a classy establishment right in the heart of the busy touristic area of the Trevi Fountain.  All other restaurants have tables on the roadside with umbrellas. You would never imagine what is inside if you look at the entrance only with only a little chalk board outside with a menu. When you walk through the door, you are immediately greeted by a Baker making fresh artisan bread and on the other side art work that to me belongs in a gallery. Walk a little bit further in down some steps and you there is the freshest vegetable and fruit counter. Honestly everything is so fresh and clean. The restaurant is big. Bigger that expected, with beautifully laid tables on dark wood and a glass ceiling for light. I mustn't forget t9he stunningly beautiful fans hanging from the ceilings adding to the exquisite decor of this marvelous discovery. We decided to sit here and relax for a while as we were completely exhausted and desperately in need of something to quench our thirst. Once we saw the menu we decided that this was the place to have our lunch and feed our hungry appetite. As starters we chose to share the tagliere which was a delicious mix of meats and vegetables with freshly baked bread. This was more than enough for lunch as the was an ample variety of mixed meata, bruschetta with different spreada and rhis cuta of the most delicious salami I have ever eaten, there was just so much of it. My daughter chose the tagliatelle Al Ragu. She loved every single mouthful. The pasta is made in the restaurant and completely fresh. You can really taste the difference to other pastas outside. The sauce was so rich with plenty of meat unlike other restaurants who make their sauce go as far as possible. You really pay for quality here. The beer was ice cold and exactly what we needed on a boiling hot humid day. There is a vast bar menu of drinks to choose from and plenty of draft beer. I took myself of a little tour of the premises and got a little trigger happy.  As a restaurant owner myself it was so nice to be welcomed so warmly and felt so comfortable. We were speaking at length with the bar manager, his name is Johnny, an Italian who has spent quite some time in the UK. His Engliah is perfect and he talked us through the menu, recommended items to us and we had a lovely conversation with him. Such a nice man who is doing such a wonderful job. The owners of this establishment must have spent an absolute fortune on this place and I wish them nothing bust the best. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit there and if ever back in Rome we will certainly return. Please join my blog on face book called My Curious Appetite.

Like many others, we wanted to soak up the atmosphere in Rome by eating out on the street however the weather was incredibly warm and there is enough atmosphere in this restaurant to provide a unique dining experience! We were welcomed by the Maitre'D at the entrance who wasn't overly pushy trying to get us to eat at the restaurant, he just encouraged us to take a look inside and if we didn't like what we saw, we could go elsewhere. We were captivated by what we saw and it was cool so we decided to stay. The menu is varied and authentic at the same time and it was very hard to make a choice of what to eat. The restaurant has been styled to capture your attention every direction you looked and there was so much to take in - there is no shortage of atmosphere indoors and the amazing ceiling fans keep you cool and mesmerised at the same time. The staff are excellent and attentive and cater for all dietary needs. I had the best gluten free pasta carbonarra I have ever eaten which was freshly made by the chef along with some homemade gluten free bread which was served warm to the table and was delicious. My husband enjoyed the an excellent pizza and didn't have another as good during our subsequent two week stay in Italy. The waitress we had was kind and helpful and the service was quick and efficient without feeling rushed. The restrooms were very clean and well maintained. Don't be put off by eating inside this gem of a restaurant - it's a treasure trove of delights to explore with an excellent menu on offer. I wish we had gone back again on our second night in Rome as we had a really disappointing meal at another restaurant. I really wanted to try the sushi on offer as I was watching it being handmade the night before. Good luck for the future!

The place was super nice, it got a great atmosphere and it got plenty of options for the menu. We tried pasta carbonara and fettuccine, both plates were good, and we asked for a caprese, which was super fresh and good. The bacon for the carbonara was a little too salty that overwhelmed the taste of the pasta, but flavor wise, it was good. The only problem is the service with the waiter. He treats us well at the beginning and even speaks to us in spanish because I think he heard me and my fiance talking in spanish, then I raised my hand politely and I asked him for the bill, he brought the machine and once my receipt was printed, he throwed it out to me in the table, my fiance and I were shocked his change of humor I thought that maybe he got upset because we refused to have dessert since we ate so much throughout the afternoon and dinner and the caprese got us so full, we couldn't take no more, but we are finally leaving and saw the guy( I think his name was Mohammed or something, his arms were covered in tattoos), he is coming in our way, I'm like literally pissed but to avoid confrontations I just walked looking at my phone but my fiance said that he looked at us from head to toes and make a disgusted face... I never felt so pissed in my life, I don't know if we did something to pissed him off that way, but there is no excuse to mistreat your customers. We wanted to come back in our last day in rome here for dinner, but after this, I think that we will never be back. PD: If you don't like to be mistreated, dont come here, I started reviewing other ppls comments, and it looks like it is pretty common that they treat their customers like these.
