We were looking for a restaurant near our hotel and found this one. Upon entering maybe around 8:30 during the week the restaurant seemed almost empty. We were put into the American penalty box in the back library. Our waiter brought us water and disappeared for at least twenty minutes maybe more. He finally came back and ask if we wanted a drink. Two glasses of house red please. Came back maybe another twenty minutes to say they only had one glass of red wine. He told my wife she should get a white because she was getting seafood. She said yes thank you I know I should be pairing seafood with white but I would like a red thank you. So he left and was gone another 20 to 30 minutes and came in with Two glasses of red. Can’t make this up. We waited probably another half hour and I finally had to go find my food and waiter. I had the sliced beef which was very good. And my wife had the calamari which was not so good. Once our food was brought we never saw our waiter again. No coffee no dessert no bill. I finally had enough and went again to find my waiter only to be greeted by three people begging me to stay for FREE dessert. I said it’s probably better for you if I leave now. I don’t know what it was. I have never had...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience at Ninù Roma. The ambiance of the restaurant, particularly the library room, was nothing short of enchanting. It set the perfect mood for an exquisite evening.
The service was impeccable, with Matteo, the bartender, deserving a special mention. His ability to craft a cocktail perfectly tailored to my tastes was impressive. The cocktail was a delightful start to our meal.
As for the food, the "Selezione di 4 crudi e 4 cotti dello chef" was a delicious introduction to the chef's skill. But the real stars of the evening were the pastas. The Spaghetti alle vongole, aglio nero e bottarga was bursting with flavor, a perfect blend of sea and spice. However, it was the Fettuccine con ventresca di tonno, carciofi e pecorino that truly surprised us. Its unique and pleasant flavors made it a standout dish.
In short, Ninu Rome is a must-visit for anyone seeking a blend of cozy ambiance, stellar service, and...
Read moreAfter a lovely day in Rome, I was running out of steam and, of course, the best way to replenish my energy was to sit down and order a drink. From all the bars in the area, the one that caught my attention was Ninu, it had a certain peaceful demeanor and it didn’t seem to be as crowded as other more touristy alternatives. I saw on the terrace, and I got the chance to interact with a bartender and my waitress. After listening to their recommendations I decided to get something different from the usual Aperol Spritz (which I always drink whenever I travel to Italy). The drink came with a nice assortment of snacks (much in the same way you’d get tapas in Spain), the green olives were very good, and the two different salty Italian crackers complemented each other nicely. I would’ve loved to come back to this place for dinner, but alas, that’ll have to wait till my next...
