In a sea of overwhelmingly loud self-advocates at every restaurant you pass in Rome, my girlfriend and I stumbled upon Taba more peacefully than anywhere else. We were immediately taken aback by the comfortable and aesthetically pleasing setting, and after a week straight of eating Italian food it was a nice idea to have something of a different flavor. We only came for appetizers and drinks, but ended up with some of the best food we’ve eaten so far. The corn empanadas sent me to another dimension and the grilled vegetable bruschetta afterward made my heart even more full than my stomach. Beyond the food though, the staff were some of the most kind, authentic and welcoming people we’ve interacted with since arriving in Rome. My girlfriend ordered a mystery drink and was made the best margarita she’s had in her life by Christian. Our server was incredibly thoughtful in how he recommended items and explained things. This place is goes beyond everyone else by the heart of the people alone, and the quality of the food and drinks only elevates this. This was our best Rome dining experience to date and we will definitely be back before our departure. As someone who’s happiness is deeply defined by a good meal, Taba...
Read moreMy daughter and I visited this locale last week...three times in two days. We loved it that much. We were checking out Campo de' Fiori market when my daughter espied the trippy mis-matched chairs and plates and brought it to my attention as she knew I don't go for the typical places. Eclectic, great vibes and cool tunes. This was such a relief from the cookie-cutter restaurants that abound (and some of the ripoff crap I encountered, like service fee added to bill and then a waiter whining that that fee goes to the boss so give me some more!). Not at Taba. Great beer selection, the food was excellent with some new flavors discovered there: honey in the pizza was a revelation! Really liked the people working there. I can't wait to return to Rome and can't wait to revisit Taba Cafe!...
Read moreI stumbled upon Taba Café first in 2018, and BAM! It's been a non-negotiable pit stop since then. Just got back, and guess what? Still amazing! The hospitality? Off the charts. The food? Simply delicious! And those Aperol Spritzes? Let's just say they're basically sunshine in a glass. Best in Rome? Yeah, probably. If you're not feeling the booze, grab an Uomo Tigré. Sounds cool, tastes even cooler. Food-wise, those empanadas and bruschettas? Chef's kiss. The Tiramisu, is literally to die for. The vibe is super chill, like hanging out at a friend's place. Even when they're slammed, they always manage to snag me a couch up front. Seriously, if you wanna do aperitivo time right in Campo de Fiori, Taba Café is THE spot. It's easily the best hangout in the market. You...
