I would give this place a zero if i could. The wife and I came here and literally wasted an hour and a half of our day.

I ordered the charcuterie board assortment of cheese and cold cut meats ( extra for the one with meats of course), a glass of wine. 25 minutes go by, i still had not received my wine at all, i wave down another waiter to ask about the wine, he says of course! I will go get it, sets our glasses to the side where they sat the rest of the time until we finally left. Trying to not get ignored, i waved down our waiter to ask for the aperitivo with Aperol Spritz, he said sure! We still had not received our food at this point either. After 30 MORE MINUTES we finally received our food in which he informs us that the menu item that comes WITH cold cut meat actually doesn’t, even though it said it did on the menu?

Being beyond annoyed at this point the lady and i agree that we are not patronizing this place any longer so i ask the waiter for the bill. After ANOTHER 30 MINUTES OF NO CONTACT WITH THE SERVER, i ended up walking up to the front myself to tell the manager i want my bill and i want to leave. When i get my bill, it was 84,00€ for a salad, and a board of cheese. Because they tried to charge me for the wine and cocktails i never received. Until i argued i was not paying for something i did not get, period.

Overall horrible experience, mediocre food and terrible customer service. There’s way better food and service in Rome. Don’t waste your money here, my friends here in Rome and I will never...

We stopped here because we were hungry and happened to walk past on the way to another restaurant and the menu looked good. Big mistake. Didn’t check reviews, but it didn’t look too tourist trappy (it was we just didn’t see it). Ordered drinks, and a first and second course all at the same time. Drinks were fine, maybe a little weak, but expensive (€14 for a Negroni seems very high to me…). First course was spaghetti al pomodoro and gnocchi al pesto. Both were ok, but not exciting and wouldn’t have wowed me, even at the small town US Italian places I’m used to. Noodles seems fresh though. Then came the waiting. Over an hour until our second course arrived, even with checking with the waiter multiple times. Veal with lemon and steak with red wine sauce. Veal was bland, tough, and sauce seemed to pretty much just be butter with no lemon. Steak was not noteworthy, but cost €28. We were asked what side we wanted when we ordered, and chose potatoes and spinach. Potatoes were too salty and spinach was extremely bland. Even though we did not specifically ask for them, and were offered them like they were included, each side was €7. Would have asked for no side if we knew they were so much for so little. Ended up being €116 for 2 people, and 2.5 hours at the restaurant because we had to wait so incredibly long. Both would be fine, I guess, if the food was even comparable to much cheaper places with better service, but it wasn’t. Blegh....

Unfortunately have to say we stayed inside for a whole total of 6 minutes. A lovely lady sat us down, but absolutely no 'hello' from any of the staff that walked past while waiting. When sat, a couple of ladies were served before us, yet had sat down after us. Waiter who took their order just literally stood around behind them looking at the tablet and to us, back to the tablet, wobbling from side to side and then walked off. Completely ignoring us the whole time (after reading some reviews, it seems normal when you're just another tourist). We ended up leaving. We are more than happy to pay for a service, even if that service is expensive - however when there's no service, you cannot excuse the price scale. £3.50 for an espresso, £7 for a tea is doable if the service is second to none, and when the staff is trained and lovely and goes above and beyond - and doesn't let you hang around waiting for a table without absolutely no word or excuse. In this situation you're better off walking down the road, find a modest place where they charge £1.50 for an espresso but the service is good - they welcome you and sit you down and make you feel at home. Will not come back, which was a shame because the cakes...

The bruschetta was alright, the 4 cheese gnocchi was a bit better, BUT THE FILET!? Holy MOTHER! For a mere €30, they march out the grandest filet known to man, absolutely drenched in porcini mushroom truffle sauce. The filet itself was massive! It was probably an astounding 0.5 Kg - unheard of for a filet. I ordered it medium rare and I'd be damned if they didn't cook it to perfection. It was almost as if God delivered this steak straight from heaven. The French fries were an unexpected turn-off initially, but ended up being a perfect pair for all the extra truffle sauce. For some background on my steak expertise, I probably eat 3-4 steaks a week, and have been on that regiment for about 5 years. I travel for work all around the USA and eat steaks everywhere, and this one...this one was the absolute best, record-breaking steak that has ever existed. If you are a steak/mushroom fan, then this is a no-brainer: you MUST ... ABSOLUTELY MUST... Order and enjoy every succulent morsel the this dish has to offer. Also - Alberto is the best server in all if Roma!

We came to a 3.9 rated restaurant because we have a flight shortly and we didn’t have many options around us. I got ravioli which was quite decent and my boyfriend got carbonara. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM CARBONARA. It was a terrible dish. Not cooked in the traditional way. they added some sort of cream, that makes the dish almost be a soup. We said we did not like it since we were asked if everything was “okay”, and the server said “this is a carbonara”. I know what’s a carbonara! I cook carbonara at home and learned the recipe from Italians. So this is not a traditional carbonara!! I said the gentleman this, and he smiled sarcastically like he doesn’t care and left without any sincere sympathy. This was it for me! The aperol spritz was mostly seltzer water, so we did not like it either. The chips the gave us were stale. The desserts here are good, but do yourself a favor, order dessert and leave. I’m disappointed for the poor service and terrible carbonara.

This restaurant had an apperol Spitz promo where you bought 3 glasses of apperol spritz and got a free bag or tshirt. I ended up with a bag. The waitress was friendly and recommended a share platter to start which included Burrata, chips, bruschetta, cheese and meat and mini pizza scrolls. The Burrata was not to my taste as it had anchovies which I am not a fan of the strong taste. The cheese and meat in the platter was very delicious. The serve for the carbonara pasta was decent and it was a delight to eat. I would recommend this dish as it is a house specialty. The restaurants toilet was flooded when I went here which was not good as my boots ended up soaked. I was not impressed by this. Overall other than the toilet issue, the restaurant impressed with their delicious food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is good as it is busy. I would return to this restaurant next time when in Rome.
