Absolutely Terrible.
Went here for a takeaway coffee prior to boarding a train. The business looked legitimate with an industrial looking 3 group espresso machine fully visible in the middle of the preparation area.
I was served by a lady with the personality of a dead fish. I got the impression that I was very much an inconvenience for her to serve. I asked for and paid for an Americano. She took the payment then started organizing paperwork and receipts. I stood for about 5 minutes with all 3 staff ignoring me. After a while and a lot of staring one of the other staff asked me if I was waiting for something. I said I had already paid for an Americano coffee and she told the lady who originally served me to attend to it. She waited another couple of minutes before filling a paper cup with coffee from a filter jug that looked like it had been sitting a while.
I asked why she was not making me an Americano with the lovely espresso machine sitting behind her. She scornfully said "when you pay for an Americano, this is what you get", turned and left.
What a horrible memory to leave Venice with. This is a perfect example of terrible customer service. The lady should be sacked. She clearly does not want to work there.
The coffee was ok. The paper cup leaked all over the place.
Avoid this place. The other negative reviews are accurate and management have not done anything about it.

Read moreExtremely Poor Service and Unwelcome Attitude - Avoid This Cafe My family and I stopped at Relax Cafe in the Venice railway ststion Venezia S Lucua for a quick coffee before our train. We were in a hurry, so I went to the counter to order and pay for my coffee, assuming we could then sit at a table. After I sat down with my family, a waitress abruptly told us we couldn't sit there and had to leave. I immediately explained that I understood the policy and was happy to order more drinks for the table so we could stay, as we were paying customers. My request was ignored and she repeated that we had to leave. I tried to argue the point, but she just walked away. We can only assume she was going to get security. I went to the counter to try and understand the situation, but the staff seemed confused about why we were being refused service, despite our willingness to pay for drinks at the table. We felt completely unwelcome and were forced to leave a cafe we were actively trying to give our business to. The service was a complete failure and the attitude of the staff was...
Read moreVery unprofessional.
I very rarely give a one star but i need to do exception. On the start we walked in into seating area. Waitress were there (blond woman in her late 30s maybe beginning of 40s) I ve asked her politely where to seat as we were 3 people with the buggy. Lady was so busy checking her phone that she didn't put it down for past 5min. Another 10min for to be recognised as new customer and finally after 15min we've been given well overpriced coffee (€5 for small cup of cappuccino). I need to mention that 2min up the road towards San Marco we found a coffee shop with very good coffee and bakery. ( normal size cappuccino €1.80). Just after we managed to drink half cup of coffee waitress approached us and gave us a check without been asked for. Like trying to tell us that our time is up. Honestly i do travel a lot and been many places, some good, some very good, some bad but this one is exceptionally bad, next time rather get the coffee from somewhere else and drink it on the street than experience that what they called customer...
