Bistrot Santa Lucia — Restaurant in Venice

Seriously guys, this is disgusting. I have been sitting here for an hour now. Clients are cleaning the tables themselves, piling the scraps of food for the pigeons to eat. Employees come out from time to time to check... And they do nothing. Maybe they are just waiting for the pigeons to clean the mess. Once they're finished, maybe they'll ask the birds to clear de dishes? If you go there, don't pick anything from the baskets with the sugar/salt/etc on the table. The pigeons are using this basket as a makeshift nest. Well, pigeons are almost finished on this table now... They ard moving to the next one.

These birds are the only ones working here.

I decided not to eat here. We just ordered bottled water and a coffee. The coffee was bad. Which is kind of impossible in Italy. Yet, bad it was. Interestingly, it seems the employees were fighting over the machine about the settings... Well, I'll tell you something, the settings were wrong.

BTW, don't go there with teens or people with good ears. They installed the high-frequency noise to disturb the birds. Doesn't work on the birds, does work on young...

Horrible food experience. Not worth spend time and money at this location. They survive due to it location and nothing else. What's was good. Well the food came fast. Nothing else was okay. Tortellini still raw inside and very salty served on plastic plate with disposable knifes and forks. Pizza was so tasteless and chewy and was used as chewing gum with tomato taste. Very bad. Risotto as well came out salty , soggy and not at all inviting. Personnel working there were polite and no complaints there. Please find another location if you want a...

It is really a wonderful place to sit and eat.. they have inside and outside sitting. Menu is soo good and prices are quite fine. Sitting area is very spacious and surroundings are pleasant. Tasty food, fresh spritz, comfortable sitting and beautiful music what else one can ask for. Must experience if you need refreshment while travelling from or to Santa Lucia Venice 👌.
