みなみ寿司 MINAMI sushi OSAKA — Restaurant in Osaka

We have been on a multigenerational family, 11-78 years old, trip to Japan for 12 days now. We were fortunate to get reservations with short notice to our first Omakase experience. We all agreed this was our most favorite experience so far in Japan. The chef helped pair whiskey with the meal for those that wanted it, and helped me find a Sake that has fast become my favorite. Watching the chef masterfully create these pieces of culinary art was just as satisfying as tasting each piece. The chef and his assistant were so good with our children while also attending to the adults. We cannot say enough about this experience, and our only concern is we will never be able to enjoy sushi back home because it will never live up to this experience. There are so many restaurant options in Osaka, but Minami is special. Chef went out of his way to create a special tasting menu and brought out some fantastic sake. Everything was delicious and many things I had never had before. There are only a few seats and lots of local friends. We ate, we laughed…there was even some singing.
