Beer & Spice — Restaurant in Tokyo

When we arrived we were informed that there was a seating limit of 60 minutes if we were drinking only, or 120 minutes if we were drinking and eating. Why? Am I missing something here? If I am drinking and paying, wouldn’t you want me to stay? It makes zero sense to me why you would put these completely arbitrary limits on the amount of business your customers may do with you.

That stupidity aside, the food we had was very good. However, I think I’ll go elsewhere next time - to restaurants that welcome me with a greeting rather than with instructions as to when they want...

We found this place by chance while we were around Tokyo Station and decided to check it out. We tried the beer set, which included Kölsch, Pale Ale, and Bitter Stout, and it was amazing! The price was just 1,300 yen.

The staff speak English, which made it easy for us, and there are a few craft beers to choose from too.

When you arrive, the staff let you know that if you’re only ordering drinks, you can stay for 1 hour, but if you order food as well, you can stay for 2 hours. It’s a great spot to hang out around Tokyo Station. Definitely...

When we showed staff my niece's allergy card, we were promptly told "no accommodations". We're guessing it was miscommunication as we were just asking what on the menu could she possibly eat, not to change anything. It worked out in the end and the food was REALLY good.

As with the rest of Toyko, you should have a reservation and don't expect to just pop in a restaurant. We did wait a bit and ended up sitting at a high top which worked.
