I would give a zero star if I could. The food they offer is mediocore but the service I received was the WORST during my visit to Japan from California.
I came to the restaurant yesterday which was on a Sunday night just because it was the only one with no wait (now I know why). When we finished the dinner, my friends went out to see a show on the first floor for twenty minutes, Since there was no line waiting for a table, and there were couple tables available, I stayed in the restaurant alone waiting for my friends to come back. In about 10 minutes later, a waiter came to me with the check WITHOUT me asking for it, and spoke Japanese to me. I replied back in English that I spoke no Japanese, and asked if I could pay later when my friends came back. The waiter RUDELY took out his phone using Google Translate, and showed me something like “the restaurant stars to accept reservations from 9:30 PM …” which didn’t make any sense to me at all, and IMPOLITELY asked me if it was ok. I still paid the bill but stayed in the restaurant until my friends came back. If you care about the service from a restaurant, I would strongly recommend to avoid...
Read more(Sunday, November 6th) The waiter tried to discourage us from coming in 90 minutes before closing by saying there's a "table charge" of 400 yen. Knowing that we will be out of there in said time (plus we were starving) we agreed and sat down. Service was terrible. Every table was trying to get this waiter's attention when clearly he is very incapable to serve and to care. ( there were 4 other tables in the room with 2 still waiting for food). We asked for some Chili peppers and what arrived was 2 teaspoon of Chili peppers on a gigantic plate. My salad had canned tuna and bacon on it , it was disgusting. The pizza was soggy , the sausages were all cut to different size. When the bill came , I decided to take a picture of the bill so I can show my hospitality friend this ridiculous 400 yen charge. The gentlemen at the cashier (not the incompetent waiter) then told us we didn't have to pay the non-descriptive 400yen. Was it because I was taking the picture of the bill ? Super shady !! The waiter...
Read moreSomething I hate about a lot of restaurants in Japan that this one also does is that they make customers line up even though there are plenty of tables available. When I arrived with my group, three people, and the person told us to wait. We waited for maybe 5 minutes, and when we walked in, I saw at least four tables (some 2-person, some 4-person) completely empty without any dirty dishes. Some tables had dirty dishes and were left like this during my entire visit. Behind us was another 3-person group, and behind them was a single-person group. They were seated maybe 8 minutes after us. I assume they make us line up and wait because restaurants with lines have the illusion of being popular. Or perhaps this place's workers didn't want to overload themselves so they deliberately limit the number of concurrent customers.
I got the Bocciano Lunch with the anchovy pizza and that was admittedly very good. It comes with a salad and drink for ¥1540 (tax included) so it's actually a...
