She asked me to confirm if I have ordered that set. I thought she asked if I need some drink, so I just said no. She stared at me and kept silence, standing there looking at me. Then I look at the menu she is holding. Then I said yes, I already placed the order online. She still stared at me repeated the same question. I said yes i ordered online already. Our hostess was so patient with my poor understanding of Japanese and managed to communicate with me well with some English to describe every course and expectations. Dining in Japan can be cold and tough, most places would turn me away because of my lack of fluency but this place was warm and welcoming.
