Avoid at all cost.
It is by far the worst place I had the pain to visit. And it’s the first time I leave a place before all the dishes are served. It was my birthday, and frankly, it’s the worst meal I’ve eaten in my whole life.
Poor hygiene : the cooks did not wear masks nor protection caps for their hair, NEVER watched their hands, touch their eyes or skin and then directly touch the salad with their hands, the counter is dirty and cluttered, the toilets are smelly.
Poor service : no one seems to be managing anything, order errors happens frequently, waiters never asked the clients if they want water, beers are so poorly served there is more foam than beer in the glass. The person at the bar obviously didn’t know what she was doing. The waitresses asked one each other what to do all the time and no one made decisions. It was like no captain was on the ships and those poor young women were trying to salvage what they could without proper training.
Poor food : here comes the worst part. For their most expensive lunch menu, you will have only 1 plate for all the guests, so each menu was served on a tiny plate for 2.
If the 1st dish was acceptable, nothing is handmade, the ingredients’ quality is very low, most of them are frozen.
The French fries were mushy and the sauces were industrial. Making a good mayonnaise takes no more than 3 minutes.
They served us a plate with 2 tiny bits of beef and pork, and 2 huge pieces of chicken breast. The beef was acceptable, the pork was dry and cold, I think it was cooked the day before, if not before. The chicken breast was almost raw, unnerved with a bunch of oil, the skin was not crispy. The mussels were so white I thought they caught a cold. I tried one of them, it was so sandy I couldn’t swallow it. We stopped before the last dish, we couldn’t bear more.
The whole thing took more than one our and a half and just ruined what was supposed to be a special day.
I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN and never recommend this place to anyone, and I want to be refunded, as we paid way too much for this ridiculously...
Read moreThe staff present the night I went most likely lacked training. In short, the selections of Belgian beers is what attracted me, and I was ready to pay the expensive price as most of those are really popular in my region (north of France). Yet, I was served the wrong beer (a fruity red instead of a brown). When I asked for it to be changed, they assured me it was the brown and refused to change it. If I wanted to drink sparkling raspberry water, I would not have been there in the first place. And the issue was not the language barrier. Otherwise, the food is alright, but nothing too special. You can probably find a better western restaurant around Shinjuku. But not all is dark and full of terror: the location is of this cafe is nice, and taking a drink on the terrace during a Summer night is...
Read moreIf you write off the bland and overpriced restaurant venues in the Times Square department store complex (which I recommend), this is one one of the better options in the area for a meal or a casual drink. I have been here for lunch on several occasions, and have found the food to be decently good, if not extraordinary. Pasta, meat dishes, and salads are the staples. They have a good selection of beer on tap and mixed drinks. The windows surrounding the seating area give an open feeling.
My minor complains from my experiences here are that the service tends to be slow and the food too salty, even by Tokyo standards. But for a relaxing meal or casual time spent with friends, this is one of the better choices within a 10 minute walking radius. #traveljapan...
