Penny Lane — Restaurant in Tokyo

I went for a meal in the evening, but a young male staff member was just enjoying a conversation with a mother and her child and forgot my order.

The kid was being very loud and disruptive by running around the restaurant, touching people without their consent, climbing on the chairs and tables, and playing with their food. They were allowed to be a huge nuisance all evening, but the staff just ignored it because they knew each other. The kids mom just ignored it and played on her phone. I felt like I was in a daycare not a restaurant.

Also, all of their food was brought very quickly before everyone else! I ordered one drink before they arrived and I never received it. The staff forgot my order because he was too...

Good coffee, lots of pastries and related lunch bites available. Walk in, grab a tray and tongs, pick up the pastries you'd like, take them to the counter and pay. The interior style is unique, warm and welcoming. Outdoor seating was also available, though I'm not sure if that will be the case through colder months. A Beatles fan may recognize the name... there was an attempt made to theme this cafe after the band. Vinyl record cases of Beatles albums line the outside glass, and there are some guitars and other paraphernalia inside. That's about where the theme ends, however. What a cute bakery, Cafe, and Scotch bar!

While wandering around the Skytree town/Solamachi, I wanted a quick snack. Any of the numerous bakeries and cafes are usually fine, but I'm glad I stumbled into Penny Lane!

This Beatle's-inspired bakery and cafe has a great assortment of sweet and savory breads and pastries along with various coffees in a pub-inspired decor. Additionally, they have a wide selection of Scotch (see picture of the Ardbeg selection) for after-hours enjoyment.
