My recent dining experience at Madinah Dayah Kafe was a mix of highs and lows. I feel like itâs important to share both aspects for those considering a visit. Let me start with the positive: the food at this restaurant is nothing short of extraordinary. I had the pleasure of trying several dishes. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. Itâs a fair deal for the cost. You get exactly what you pay for and its worth what you spend. Itâs clear that a lot of thought and care goes into the menu, and for that, I have to give a commend the kitchen staff.
However, as much as I wanted to fully immerse myself in the culinary experience, the service at this restaurant was unfortunately a letdown. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a lack of enthusiasm, and the overall vibe from the staff was quite cold. Throughout the meal, there was a noticeable lack of attentiveness. It felt like the staff was simply going through the motions without any genuine interest in our dining experience or they were forced to work ?
What really stood out to me was the stark contrast between the quality of the food and the level of service. While the kitchen clearly takes pride in its work, itâs disheartening to see the front-of-house staff not matching that same level of dedication. Itâs not that I expect over the top friendliness, but even a basic level of courtesy and warmth would have made a huge difference. After all, dining out is not just about the food, itâs also about how youâre treated as a guest.
This restaurant has a small âcash onlyâ sign at the counter thatâs easy to miss, making it hard for customers to notice. They also donât accept any online payments like QR codes or bank transfers, which is inconvenient in a time when many people prefer to go cashless. They really need to reconsider their payment options to accommodate their customers better.
In conclusion, this restaurant has the potential to be a top-tier dining destination thanks to its phenomenal food. However, until the service improves, I canât wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. If youâre someone who can overlook poor service in exchange for amazing food, then this place might still be worth a visit. But if like me, you believe that the best dining experiences are a combination of great food and excellent service, you might find yourself leaving with mixed feelings.
I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback to heart because with a more attentive and welcoming staff,...
Read moreI had a terrible experience trying to get some good food here. We came really hungry but left very disappointed. What we ordered was not what we got. We ordered chicken but were served seafood instead. When we spoke to the person who took our order, he ignored us and made no effort to correct the mistake.
The portions of the ladna and hailam were small and overly salty. The tom yum we ordered was not nice at allâit was surprisingly sweet. When I asked the owner about it, she dismissively asked if it was my first time and said their tom yum is always sweet. Whether it's sweet or not, the taste was awful.
Overall, it was a regrettable experience. If you're looking for seafood in this area, try Wan Suraya instead. It was closed when I visited, but I hope that was just bad timing and not a...
